You're seeing a dip in demand
Very low gas prices are a double-edged sword. Great for keeping inflation in check and Joe Consumer at the pump, but a huge indicator our economy and the world economy is dragging.
While that may be true I personally would like to keep gas prices around 2,50. I drive a Yukon XL and and 1978 K5 Blazer with a 5.3 chevy ls 5.3 in it with mud tires so im lucky to get 10mpg.
Got rid of SUV and went to a Kia Soul. All the power and space I need these days. And the gas mileage is huge!
A few years back ordered the electric Ford 'Mustang'. Primarily for the $ 10,000 tax credit.
Fun to drive ....incredible acceleration ....but really just a toy.
My Ford F 150 remains by favorite vehicle,
We had a 1949 Ford when I was a kid. My first vehicle to drive. Then a 1964 Ford F150. Not sure how many miles it had on it, but it was a bunch, over 300,000 for sure. It didnt go over 55 as Dad had it geared so low to haul our tractor Trailers. I think we rebuilt the engine in it three times.
