Hopefully it's not going to be as bad as I've seen some forecasters talking about. People at work this morning were saying some grocery stores are already getting picked over.

Leaving for Scottsdale this Saturday. Time to get out of the cold.

Hope our friend from Austin can meet us as scheduled.

This is the first I have seen saying worst in decades. Which is saying something considering how bad 21 was and how long we were without power and ice was on the ground.

The craziest freeze story thing I have ever seen was growing up in the Houston area. It rained, turned to wintry mix and finally everything froze. A pine tree (a younger one for a tree- maybe 15-20 years) completely leaned over and became frozen to the ground.

When it thawed it snapped back and sounded like a gun going off and the ice flew off the tree and actually broke windows and patio furniture.

I think maybe the "worst in decades" is in reference to how far this will stretch across the south and how heavy it might be...not necessarily Texas specifically

Living fast or dying slow.
I dont want to live forever.
But I will live while I'm here.

We are expecting over a foot of snow Sunday with a high of 10 degrees. Good for my wells…terrible for virtually everything else.

Aways love a big snow. Helps to be prepared for it though. Bring it.

I do too. But for the DFW area at least… right now they're making it sound like it's mostly going to be ice on Saturday. That's not so much fun.

Amazing how people act like we'll be without water and power for a month ...

The funniest thing is morons filling up their cars with gas.

We had one when I was at Ft Hood in 91 everything was ice. Trees covered. Wildest thing. Lived out off Lake Belton, unreal.

A major ice storm can mess things up for a long, long time.

To be fair to some of them it is because last time I knew some people that had to go to their cars to charge phones or to get warm because they lived in older homes, poorly insulated homes, etc.
