Epstein files have been pretty scary.

Let's see, they're eating humans, using torture chambers on kids for blood transfusions, and they're proud pedos. Fwiw, a lot of them seem to use the term Goyim. Hmmm

Remember when the conspiracy theorists told you that our country was run by a cabal of pedos. The conspiracy theorists are batting 1000 over the past decade. Pizzagate was real, you shouldn't be surprised. Seems like lots of celebs and famous people ... and political folks as well.

Crazy demonic stuff, and we know they won't perp walk anyone. And the released stuff is the stuff that they didn't burn. And sadly, we can't really know what's real or not (within reason), because they've had these files for a decade or more and could easily have altered or removed content.

So pray for justice. Of course, vote conservative/repub, but vote in the primaries for new people who won't stand for this crap.

The bold print says it all. I don't know how true all of this stuff is, but in the end it doesn't matter. If new people don't win the primaries, you'll still support any monster who does.

Thanks for the prayers, though.

LOL, progressives are worse. So sitting out elections is a stupid option. I didn't pick the system, I vote the best I can, sometimes it's picking the best of two not so great choices. Trump may not stop all the stuff I disagree with, but he's 100 times better than the closest Democrat. Easy choice, only weak minded manipulated Christians sit out elections.

Progressives aren't that much worse. They just happen to like different aspects of Christianity from the ones that you like.

Tell us you're not conservative without telling us you're not conservative.

Haven't met a progressive yet that was a professing/practicing Christian.

Sounds like it has to do with where you live. I don't know a single practicing Christian out here who is conservative, plenty who are progressive (for obvious reasons - the whole love your neighbor, welcome the foreigner parts of the Bible and whatnot).

Yep. Both sides pick and choose what they like.

Well, as I mentioned before, I guess that depends on whether you feel the Democrat position on immigration and say, prisoners, is Christian, and the Repubs is not.

You didn't express your thoughts on these subjects in response to my previous post. What do you believe?

Republicans believe in using mass deportation as a way to reverse certain unfavorable demographic trends, or as we'd say in English, to build up the white majority. No matter how you justify it, that's a form of ethnic cleansing. And they're increasingly claiming the right to deny due process and humane treatment to those in their custody.

No, they like things that aren't Christian. There is next to nothing Christian in their platform.

Like I said, not much difference.

Indeed, I could see how a non-Christian would believe there isn't much difference between the platforms - failing to recognize the evil inherent in a platform that celebrates a culture of death and rampant sexual immorality.

The R's don't have the market cornered on morality, and there are plenty that fail to live up to Christ's standard. But there is a reason committed, true Christians aren't Democrat, and by and large vote conservative.

I hope you find the narrow gate, my friend.

You've voted for at least as many Democrats as I have.

Bolded part is important.

You might not agree with the Dems' culture of death and rampant sexual immorality, but when you can't see much daylight between that and a conservative platform, and aren't willing to do much of anything about it, you are likely lost.

This is what blows me away. Trump and Paxton are two of the most immoral people ever to seek office, yet conservatives are dragging 40-foot crosses and giving themselves lashes to vote for these people. Evangelicals keep applying the values that they want in public life to people who don't have them.

I don't disagree with you on the character of Trump and Paxton. The question is, as between a set of immoral individuals, do you vote for the individual whose policies most align with your values, or the individual whose policies do not?

I don't know that answer. People I vote for aren't openly offensive to my values.

This cycle, I decided not to support Allred (before he dropped out.)

And of course, we are the bad guys killing the Ukrainians, not the Russians. When Russians do it, it's "just."

And when we decide to deport people that are here illegally, it's "ethnic cleansing."

See a pattern here?

You've chosen to remain ignorant of your own country's flaws, as most people do. It's human nature. But I have to give you credit...I've seen very few who worked so hard at it. From Guantanamo to Abu Ghraib, Gaza, Ukraine, Iran, Venezuela, etc., you've turned a blind eye to every kind of lawlessness and brutality almost without exception. Truly a moral giant among men.

I hear my misguided, non-Christian leftist extended family members bring this up a lot. It's quite telling you're mentioning it, though not surprising.

I am curious, what do you think the conservative position should be on convicted felons and illegal immigrants? And what should the Christian position be on those issues?

My leftist friends would tell me it's not Christians and the Church that should care for the poor and the refugee, but the government. Welfare, universal income, bail reform, open borders, and the like - if you are against those, you aren't Christian. I would submit that isn't a Christian position in the least, and it's certainly not a conservative position. Do you disagree? Or is it showing "favortism" to be against illegal immigration and welfare for all, even the able-bodied?

As for Nazis, no Christians I know are normalizing them. In fact, I would argue it's quite the opposite - the lost souls are normalizing Nazism. The woke right isn't all that different from the woke left. They certainly don't represent all conservatives.

You sure you aren't creating more straw men?

I don't think Christianity requires us to go along with all or even most liberal economic policies. When you say your relatives aren't Christian, is that only because they don't vote Republican, or for some other reason? Just curious since you made that judgment about me.

This thread accuses our politicians of some of the worst crimes imaginable. It exhorts us, in the pursuit of justice, to go so far as voting against those who practice or condone such things -- but only in the primaries. It's a stunning example of the religious right's moral bankruptcy.

Even you have said you'd potentially vote for a Hitler fan as long as he's not too specific about his plans for the Jews (and Nick is very good at being vague). If that's not normalizing, I don't know what is.

With respect to my relatives, as you may have seen me mention before, I have extended family in CA that are militant atheists. They are decidedly not Christian.

Some are more subtle in their unbelief. They either demonstrate a disregard for Christ's commands or the law, or are only nominally Christian in their beliefs to the point there is no fruit. Only God knows for sure, but I think the lack of fruit and disregard for Christ's commands exhibits a lifestyle apart from God.

As for the religious right, I agree there are lots of hypocrites among them. Unlike them, you won't see me praising Trump or defending his actions. But we've been over this.

If it came down to a binary choice, I always go with the lesser of the evils. Not voting gets you the greater of the evils. Every single time.

Meaning basically it gets you the candidate who's more pro-choice and pro-gay. But the more evil you accept, the more you get. The faster both parties race to the bottom, the more similar they become. The difference was marginal before Trump came along. Now it's a wash, at best.

Show me a conservative, and I'll vote for him. You don't like gays and abortion, we get it. Not everyone votes based on one or two issues.

Christians do. Those issues should be very important to those who actually follow Christ.

But it's not just those two issues. There are a myriad of others that form the basis of conservative social policy and belief.

I guess you'll just have to sit it out until Christ decides to run. But something tells me you'd find something to complain about with even him.

This is how we reached the point where we have threads about normalizing Nazis.

Christians are called to seek Justice and mercy in all things, not to show favoritism. When you care as much about the prisoners, refugees, and immigrants as you do about the unborn, you might have something to say about morality. Until then your sermons are just empty self-pleasuring.

No. I believe he had the stones to speak out and put the power of EO (as much as I dislike EOs) behind it. The energy to get behind it was there but he put the power of the law behind the common sense beliefs of the majority.

For those who think removing those that are here illegally is about ethnic cleansing (sheesh!), the countries where most legal immigration comes from are not European.

It's obviously not about immigration as much as about unvetted illegal immigration. If you want in, get in line and do it right.

Evangelicals keep applying the values that they want in public life to people who don't have them.

No one had voted for Trump because they like his personal life.

It is also ******ed to claim Trump & Paxton more immoral than the Clintons, Kennedys, Anthony Weiner, Pelosi, Ilan Omar, the Cuomos, etc.

This has been explained ad nauseum, but some people are never going to get it (or at least they don't want to get it). Trump, past moral failings and all, is and has been obviously the best alternative for believing/practicing Christians because of his stances and support for the issues people of Christian faith care about. We aren't voting for a pastor or a Sunday School teacher - we're voting for the strongest supporter of our values and the values that made America the country it is. It really isn't that difficult to understand.

No one had voted for Trump because they like his personal life.

It is also ******ed to claim Trump & Paxton more immoral than the Clintons, Kennedys, Anthony Weiner, Pelosi, Ilan Omar, the Cuomos, etc.

No conservatives are going to extremes to vote for anyone... you are such a weirdo. We simply cast our vote for the better candidate. No lashes or crosses required.

But you don't vote for Clinton's or Weiner because they're offensive to your values. But you'll vote Paxton over Cornyn?

Now it's a wash, at best.

this may be the dumbest post you've ever made.

If not for Trump, we'd have more than two genders.

If not for Trump, we'd have grooming in schools continuing.

Several other things

You really believe all the gender nonsense went away just because Trump commanded it...and I'm the dumb one?

Yes you are the dumb one.
Trump was certainly the most significant part of the reason, due to his boldness, the vast majority of Americans felt encouraged to speak out against the nonsense.
Of course, you may believe he is just some global group's tool in the anti alphabet agenda, or whatever. Doesn't change that it would not have happened under Biden/Harris.
Kids are being saved from the destructive alphabet agenda, thanks to Trump, the Maga public, and those who align with them on the issue.
Sure it's not gone, but it's certainly retreated for now.

This has been explained ad nauseum, but some people are never going to get it (or at least they don't want to get it). It really isn't that difficult to understand.

Nebuchadnezzar accomplished much. Trump accomplishes much.

Trump gives himself all the credit.

Would you prefer to go back to Carter sitting in the Whitehouse, accomplishing little but being humble?

Tell us you're not conservative without telling us you're not conservative.

Haven't met a progressive yet that was a professing/practicing Christian.

Sounds like it has to do with where you live. I don't know a single practicing Christian out here who is conservative, plenty who are progressive (for obvious reasons - the whole love your neighbor, welcome the foreigner parts of the Bible and whatnot).

Respectfully, you can't be progressive and an actual Christian. The two beliefs are not compatible.

Ridiculous. Jesus was a progressive. To understand how radical he was, you'd have to know a little about how counter cultural Christianity was to Roman, Greek, really all culture of that day. And how different it was from any American denomination.

And I'm not saying real Christians live the life of the 12 disciples and meet horrible torturous ends, make no money, spend their days mostly homeless, but i am saying you show much ignorance making such a respectful and absolute statement.
