A. Melania is obviously the most beautiful 1st Lady since Jackie Kennedy.
B. Practicing Catholic.
C. Like Jackie...Melania is very gracious. Knows how to handle the glitz and is comfortable managing her staff.
D. Its obviously worried about still another assassination attempt on her husband; or an attempt on the life of her son.
E. Trump looked positively grim during most of the film. ( taken during the 20 days prior to his inauguration. Looks very aware of the huge amount of work that is before him. Also no doubt concerned that every single second he could be killed.....along with his entire family.

Without a doubt........if I had Trump's money.......there is no way in the world I would risk my life to become president. To lose my privacy, to lose my family's privacy........on behalf of millions of individuals who are going to hate my guts regardless of what I accomplish.

Not a chance in hell.

You might not, but many would take risks for money. Trump will likely end up with billions in net profit from this. And many, even the haters, will envy him. The love of money is real.

This is such a strange take.
Of course people without money will take risks.
But given the insane liberal environment, a billionaire putting himself directly in the line of fire is likely not just about more money.

Exactly. Trump isn't and never has been a Bidenesque, Clintonesque, or Pelosiesque corrupt career politician type that had to use his power and influence to grift and steal his way to vast riches for him and his family. He long since made his fortune in the private sector and it makes no sense that he would put both himself and his family through what they've been through for now over a decade and counting to simply make more money.

You may want to check Donald's finance versus what he portrays.

Pryor to 2016, he was cash poor (relative). Most of his wealth was in property. He went to Reality TV for a reason, he needed the money after his Atlantic City, Trump University, Trump Mortgage, Trump Social, Trump Steaks, GoTrump.com, Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, Trump: The Game, Trump Magazine, Trump Ice, New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trump! Radio Show, Trump New Video debacles.

Reality TV made Trump President, not his business brilliance.

Do a little research on how he made his money. The debt forgiveness, the Government money (885M) and the messes he left for the communities. Ask Atlantic City what Trump did for them. Or, Jones Beach. Here is a teaser...

If he were in it for the money, he'd have run as a Democrat in the first place. You know this.

He is making money off his presidency I am sure, but to think that he did it for the money is just ignorant. The dude clearly has angst for what the Dems have done to this country. They're turning it into a crap hole. He wants to fix it and his ego and grit is big enough to roll through the punches and keep on going.

I do think it is about power, just as much as money.

They're the same thing. It's not about what the money can do for you, but what you can do with the money. And there's always more that you think you can do.

Come on, look at his net worth since the election. It you think Trump ran selflessly to save the Country, you are naive. Look at his history, read abot Atlantic City.

Just his cyber decision alone changed his net worth astronomically. I do think it is about power, just as much as money.

He'd have won easily if he ran as a Democrat.

No way. He'd have to run as a labor populist instead of a white populist. He'd have to lose the Bronx blockhead persona that his brand was built on. He'd have to overcome the liberal elite's obvious distaste for him. He'd have to lose the social conservative angle that drew so many Christians (including me) to vote for him despite his lack of qualifications. Never going to happen.

They are missing the point. His policies are better than Biden, you just can't let Trump run the show unchecked. He has to be held to transparency and strict oversight. His nature is to take advantage for personal gain, he has to be have John Kelly's, Mattis's, Halley, Pompeo, Mnuchen's to keep him in check. Or you get Jan 6th and Minneapolis. He can't be the adult in the room.

That is what scares me this time, he is being asked to be the voice of reason! Yikes, not his strength.

When you are made of money and run in these circles - it's about what else you bring to the conversation since everyone has money. So, it's either some sort of recognition or prominence that isn't so easily bought. Kind of hard to top someone saying they were President...but I understand what you are saying

You looked it up, huh? Not the stalwart of Business the marketing puts out. Did you get into the casino shell game? Or forgiven loans to avoid bankruptcy? Google Duetschebank, that one, there are others, will give you an idea.

Misdirection? What does Jeb Bush have to do with anything?

I dont support any of them, they are all the same. Biden and Trump are no different.

The last one I respect, probably Bob Dole and that crew, the last of WW2 group. But if i look deeper, i am sure i will be disappointed.

ALL need to be watched like hawks and not believed. Hold them to fire publicly, it is the only way to keep honest. Left to their own temptation is too great.

I certainly wouldn't do it the way he has done it.

There's a saying: "Don't attack what you aren't prepared to kill."

While I appreciate him doing most of what he has done, in the end there have been few lasting victories.

USAID the agency is dead, but USAID the function has been rolled into the State Department under Rubio. I'm not sure if that's better or worse. It's certainly less transparent.

Public broadcasting dollars have been cut, that's a win.

The Department of Education is still there.

The SBA is still using DEI policies to evaulate loans under Trump's nose.

Illegals are being deported, but so far we've deported 15% of the ones who came here in the four years Biden was in office. That's not even addressing the 30 million or so who were here before he took office.

First, you are more stable and secure than he is... The fact that you look at it and say I would not do it shows that!

Second, he needed the money, especially in 2020. He was leveraged. Before the cyber bill he passed, he was having serious financial issues after January 6th. He had to run and learned from his first term how to use the office for financial gain.

Hell, actually in 2016 he needed to run. Apprentice was ending, his real estate was leveraged. Trump University was in court and every other business failed. Winning the election saved his ass... That is why he is doing it. Besides being intoxicated by power.
