Saw the Melania movie this afternoon . ( at the repeated request of my wife )
A. Melania is obviously the most beautiful 1st Lady since Jackie Kennedy.
B. Practicing Catholic.
C. Like Jackie...Melania is very gracious. Knows how to handle the glitz and is comfortable managing her staff.
D. Its obviously worried about still another assassination attempt on her husband; or an attempt on the life of her son.
E. Trump looked positively grim during most of the film. ( taken during the 20 days prior to his inauguration. Looks very aware of the huge amount of work that is before him. Also no doubt concerned that every single second he could be killed.....along with his entire family.
Without a doubt........if I had Trump's money.......there is no way in the world I would risk my life to become president. To lose my privacy, to lose my family's privacy........on behalf of millions of individuals who are going to hate my guts regardless of what I accomplish.
Not a chance in hell.
You might not, but many would take risks for money. Trump will likely end up with billions in net profit from this. And many, even the haters, will envy him. The love of money is real.
This is such a strange take.
Of course people without money will take risks.
But given the insane liberal environment, a billionaire putting himself directly in the line of fire is likely not just about more money.
Exactly. Trump isn't and never has been a Bidenesque, Clintonesque, or Pelosiesque corrupt career politician type that had to use his power and influence to grift and steal his way to vast riches for him and his family. He long since made his fortune in the private sector and it makes no sense that he would put both himself and his family through what they've been through for now over a decade and counting to simply make more money.
You may want to check Donald's finance versus what he portrays.
Pryor to 2016, he was cash poor (relative). Most of his wealth was in property. He went to Reality TV for a reason, he needed the money after his Atlantic City, Trump University, Trump Mortgage, Trump Social, Trump Steaks, GoTrump.com, Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, Trump: The Game, Trump Magazine, Trump Ice, New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trump! Radio Show, Trump New Video debacles.
Reality TV made Trump President, not his business brilliance.
Do a little research on how he made his money. The debt forgiveness, the Government money (885M) and the messes he left for the communities. Ask Atlantic City what Trump did for them. Or, Jones Beach. Here is a teaser...

If he were in it for the money, he'd have run as a Democrat in the first place. You know this.
He is making money off his presidency I am sure, but to think that he did it for the money is just ignorant. The dude clearly has angst for what the Dems have done to this country. They're turning it into a crap hole. He wants to fix it and his ego and grit is big enough to roll through the punches and keep on going.
I do think it is about power, just as much as money.
They're the same thing. It's not about what the money can do for you, but what you can do with the money. And there's always more that you think you can do.
