You tirading against them is a great indication of their quality.

Dummy....if the paper is biased....there is not a real attempt to be facual.

Think! Use that Baylor education of yours! Articles are often a mix of storytelling, and facts, or news. 2 storytellers can tell the same facts in very different ways.

Use that brain! If New Zealand has an IQ test you will want to pass it.

Unless they are very confident about this… I think they need to be cautious about setting a short timetable for this to the public.

They would be better off saying this could take six months or more and then getting it done sooner... rather than promising a short timeline that they could very well miss on.

We are too far in. No time limits, finish it off. If you want to set up for regime change. No Fly Zones and we can patrol it. Eye in the sky, with a Hellfire can keep a level playing field.

The time for obtaining strategic objectives and being done in 5 days, is gone. Gloves are off, they have to have NO capacity to effect outside their borders. Take the Straits and turn it into a CIty State like Singapore or a protectorate like Gibraltar. End this **** and leave a stable area.

Yeah. I worked for an Iranian Company early , employee #4, owner and many came from Iran. Either left with Shah or got out later. They spoke highly of US and life under the Shah. Tehran was Dubai before Dubai. Similar to Lebanese friend on Beruit was like Paris.

Is there enough of them left? Did they tell their kids and grandkids what it could be like?

I dont know. They need that 70's crowd to spread the message. The Iranians I know are great people.

  • Trump sticking to surrender demand, freshly telling Axios, but tweaking the messaging a bit compared to earlier: "Unconditional surrender could be that [the Iranians] announce it. But it could also be when they can't fight any longer because they don't have anyone or anything to fight with."
  • Trump's expected timeline on Operation Epic Fury: WH Press Secretary Leavitt: "Four to six weeks." And Leavitt further tweaks Trump's message... ops to continue till "Iran can no longer pose a threat to the U.S. and our troops in the Middle East."
  • Nation-building? More from Trump "...will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before."
  • Wapo highlights Ft. Bragg (Ft Liberty) canceled exercises, troops on standby: The U.S. Army abruptly canceled a major training exercise for the 82nd Airborne Division's headquarters, fueling speculation that the rapid-response unit could deploy to the Middle East as the U.S. conflict with Iran expands.

Princess, wouldn't have hired you on a bet.

Far too naive,

Newspapers are not supposed to be in the 'storytelling' business......mixed or otherwiise.

They are supposed to remain focused on facts.

When a paper is habitually 'biased'........storytelling contaminates the facts.

Ok...I'm confused. We are doing nation building?

I thought the last few days the message had been this was about destroying nuclear capacity and missile stocks.

Weekly records only go back to 1982 when modern WTI futures began.

The x post is correct if looking at strictly WTI futures, but it's nowhere near the 73 oil embargo: that was like 300%+ over months.

Began December 1973 around $4. Began January over $11.

Curious that Azeri Muslim leaders would cooperate with Jewish Israeli leaders to attack Christian Armenia.

Not curious at all, if you understand geopolitics. States do what is in their interest. Israel and Azerbaijan have a common enemy - Iran. Ergo, they have a common interest. And in both cases that interest is existential. Israel has all kinds of weapons tech. Azeri has a border with Iran and millions of kin inside Iran. How do you think Israel gets all its operatives in/out of Iran? Think the Azeris are helpful with that?

Think that relationship has helped us bomb the mullahs out of power?

Nothing against the Armenians. I mean them no harm. I'll do what I can to shield them from misfortune (like Trump did when he persuaded the Azeris to quit kicking Armenian ass.). But I'm not going to do ANYTHING to upset the Israeli-Azeri thing going on. It's hugely in our interests. Way more than anything the Armenians can do for us at this time.

Sorry. Just the way it is. Gotta play the game board the way it is set.

Who could have predicted Operation AIPAC Fury would be a total disaster?...

Pretty much anyone with half a brain.

The interesting thing about the Lincoln's move is that it could be for good or bad reasons:

(1) Good reason: The DOD thinks that they have eliminated Iran's ability to strike it.
(2) Bad reason: We're starting to run short of stand off munitions.

Some people old enough to recall pictures of B-52s in action in Vietnam and operation Linebacker probably assume that when those jets went into action in Iran it meant the elimination of Iranian air defenses.

But that isn't what was going on. They were loaded with AMG-158 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles.

This was tested back in June 2024.

If you see B-52s entering Iranian airspace over the next few weeks, then #1 is the probably answer. But if you see B-52s disappear from the conversation it probably means #2 is the answer. These bombers are ancient; they entered service in 1955. They aren't stealth. They aren't supersonic. If you're familiar with civilian aircraft, think the Boeing 707, which entered service 5 years *later* and persists only as the KC-135 tanker in the USAF. Even the Vietnamese managed to shoot 16 of them down during operation Linebacker. It would be a turkey shoot with modern air defense systems.

B52s have highly upgraded ECMs.

was bantering with Kai about what a "successful woman " Melania is. I called BS. She is a Nookie Girl married to the Lizard King. However, as frustrating as she can be, that damn Press Secretary is accomplished. She is really really good at what she does wrangling all those daily lies and the crap she has to deal with. She is tough too. I respect anyone who is good at what they do, regardless of ideology.

She's annoying. Want quit calling me when I'm working. Heck, I'm twice her age.

The legacy media will never allow Trump to 'win' this war.

They will find something.....anything to freak out about.

But God help the Karen's in this country if and when these Iranian sleeper cells blow up a stadium full of basketball fans.
