All loses stink but need to be clear if it's combat losses vs non-combat losses. Is the plane shot down or did it have engine trouble and go down?
If we lost 4-5 fighter jets in Iran I'd argue we don't have air superiority.

Just this conflict. Combat losses. The fact that the pilot has not been found would argue against something like an engine failure.
The first three were initially blamed on friendly fire from Kuwaiti air defenses, and then the story changed to blame friendly fire from a single Kuwaiti fighter pilot. Guess the "Ghost of Kiev" moved and is moonlighting as a Kuwaiti Ace.
Then there was this one today. I think there was one more in there somewhere.
Then there are the losses to the non-combat side: the AWACS, the KC135s, and I think a couple of E-2s most of which were destroyed on the ground by Iranian missiles.
Unfortunately, what is coming out of our side regarding losses/casualties has about as much credibility as what Baghdad Bob was saying during the Iraq war. But no worries, the damage to the Ford from that laundry fire should be fixed in a year.

NO. WE HAD 3 SHOT DOWN IN A FRIENDLY FIRE ACCIDENT OVER KUWAIT. IF THSE REPORTS ARE TRUE, IT WOULD BE THE FIRST SUCCESSFUL DOWNING OF A US AIRCRAFT OVER IRAN.
