According to Israel Iran has been on the brink of getting nuclear weapons for 30 years, they still don’t have them. The entire U.S. IC assessed Iran wasn’t seeking them & that Op Midnight Hammer had obliterated their enrichment capabilities.

Are we seeing Perception Bias play out in front of our eyes?
This is classic Britain 1914... The Germans will not go to war because our Navy will destroy them - Churchill.
Well, the Brit's may look at the world through the eyes of their Navy, but Germany didn't. I fear this is what we are witnessing, Trump is looking at this through his eyes - Navy, Air Force and we have ADA game over. But is Iran playing the same game.
The Brits were a maritime power, the Germans a continental power.
We're a maritime (well, and aerospace) power, and Iran is a continental power.
A lot of parallels.
I would say we are looking at it as an air power. We seem to think air power can solve all. We have just recently implemented the blockade. Which is a temporary fix.
Not sure the Iranians think like we do and Iran is a natural fortress surrounded by mountains.
I am not sure a military solution is possible, we did a good job so far. I guess we will know by the end of the week, as Iranian storage capacity reaches full.

U.S. forces operating in the Gulf of Oman enforced blockade measures by disabling an Iranian-flagged unladen oil tanker attempting to sail toward an Iranian port at 9 a.m. ET, May 6.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces observed M/T Hasna as it transited international waters enroute to an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman. American forces issued multiple warnings and informed the Iranian-flagged vessel it was in violation of the U.S. blockade.
After Hasna's crew failed to comply with repeated warnings, U.S. forces disabled the tanker's rudder by firing several rounds from the 20mm cannon gun of a U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet launched from USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).

US Jet Fires On Iranian Tanker Trying To Pass
So much for that ceasefire and alleged 'pause' in US naval blockade actions, as things just took another escalatory turn. In this case, a rare live fire incident unfolded Wednesday in Gulf waters as a US jet launched from the Lincoln carrier fired on and possibly disabled an Iranian-flagged tanker, per the officials US Central Command statement:Quote:

There's a rumor going around that the six Iranian military patrol boats we sank were actually civilian fishing boats after our destroyers heading to the Strait were painted by Iranian target acquisition radar. If that's true, it provides an explanation for why it is suddenly on pause. One thing is sure, Hegseth's Department of War isn't telling us the truth about what is going on there.
Someone needs to throw that Fox News Frat Boy overboard.
