J.R., the sources I've been reading indicate that the ability of the administration to manipulate oil prices with SPR reserve releases will diminish substantially around the end of July.

Would you agree with that? Do you have another assessment?

Pretty incredible that we are past the 60 day deadline but allowing 1 man to unilaterally wage war still. Very bad for our future.

As with previous presidents use of war powers, Congress needs to act to get some form of what constitutes the need for a war declaration by them. Only then will they be able to do what the constitution intended, and get a favorable ruling from the Supreme Court after a challenge. There needs to remain for a president military action options for terrorist actions and such. Congress also needs to show the public that they can actually declare war and/ or approve of prolonged military actions when needed no matter what party holds the majority or the white house.
Should have been done long ago to keep war from being at the whim of any president. Inaction like this is why Congress has such a poor favorability rating. All blurt and no bite.

yes, I could concur. We are 1/4 full in Cushing. I think we are already there. The smartest one of the bunch is China. They have been stocking away their SPR to where it is plumb full and they are in a good spot. Your assessment sound right on to me.

If they cannot assert themselves in this situation, they are proving that Presidents should have said power. It is an incredible thing that they are choosing to not act.
