A reasonable hypothesis is that Israel reserves the right to respond to any further attacks by Hezbollah or other terrorists group.

Mullahs never said that. Not in 1979, and not now.

But they have been '****ing' with the US since 1979.

Some of you just ignore that part.

You can not support a country while also not starting a war with them... a very esoteric concept for the Boomer mind.

The Iranian government isn't so much a country as it is an Islamic criminal gang. There are a number of countries that are basically criminal gangs. With some of them, like Venezuela, it is fairly easy to do something about it. Others, like the People's Republic of China or North Korea, pose more of a challenge.
When you say "do something about it", do you mean initiate military action that doesn't result in actual regime change? Because we're about to agree to support the "Islamic criminal gang" more than anyone would have thought prior to February 28th and the "harmless" nuclear dust we justified the war over.

You'd think we'd have learned something about how "fairly easy it is" to do something with these despotic regimes…

No, if you are going to "initiate military action" in a situation like this, it needs to result in "actual regime change."

You don't "regime change" a country of 94 million people with that topography. If they want change, they have to do it.

Israel needs regime change. And I think they get it. Their country has been slaughtered. Their soldiers are tired. Always fighting.

In a period of two-months, Israel has gone from a great ally and partner in war, fighting by our side against a horrible enemy that has killed thousands of our people, killed tens of thousands of their own people, and was a dire nuclear threat intent on attacking us, to Israeli PM Netanyahu being a difficult person who should be thanking us for saving his country from Iran and should get our permission if he wants to defend his people from Hezbollah and Iran, and stand down when his country is attacked.

And just yesterday, Israel's PM avenged the execution of 5 American soldiers by taking out a Hezbollah commander/terrorist. And only Israel has been killing Hezbollah leaders who murdered our Marines, soldiers, embassy staff, and more. It seems to me a kind word is in order. How does this make any sense?

The unarmed Iranian people yes, the terrorist thugs in the government no. The Iranian radicals are responsible for thousands of terrorist murders all over the world for the past 50 years. The world will be safer when they are all eliminated. Trump is correct to insist that they must never be allowed to have nukes.

The so-called Palestinians are Arabs in Israel or who used to live there but left because of their rabid antisemitism. There is no such place called Palestine. They also are barbaric terrorists: Hamas, Hezbollah, etc. Those who didn't actively participate in the insanity of October 7 cheered them on.

The Lebanese government has been cooperating with Israel lately. They are legitimate while the Hezbollah terrorists operating there under cover are not. The Israelis are 100% justified in striking back at Hezbollah leaders after every attack they make against Israel.
