Walgreens is closing a store on the south side of Chicago due to high crime/theft and the local community and politicians blame the store and even want to charge the store with "corporate abandonment" which is not a crime but of course none of them seem to blame the real issue.... the local community constantly stealing from the store causing it to lose money and the employees to feel unsafe. Not a single person gets up to talk about the issue of lack of community involvement in stopping the theft or how the culture looks down on those that "snitch" or try to stop the crime.
Instead of solving the issue they want to blame everyone else.....

When are you ready to meet me in Chicago?
Nice deflection.
Care to address the topic of the thread?
You have just done what these citizens and politician did.... blame someone else instead of addressing the issue.
I don't. Give me a date. Make sure Cubs are home.
Typical. No solutions. Can't address the topic because you haven't received talking points from your leftist overlords.
Discuss the topic or just skip the thread.
You started the thread. What's your solution?
My answer is to watch PCA and the first place Cubs.
You clearly don't pay attention on these boards.
Walgreens already provided the solution. Cut loses and leave that area.
As to the leftist politician he could back the police. Give them more money to hire more officers. Get a DA to charge criminals. Stop letting them out on low or no bail.
Change the culture where people aren't attacked for turning criminals in.
The solutions have been offered hundreds of times on numerous threads. But the left doesn't want those solutions.
Walgreen's solution is good enough for me. Why do you want me to provide a different one? I don't work at Walgreens and they are responsible for their profitability.
I wanted you to address the topic of the thread.
What insight do you think I can add?
Clearly you are incapable of providing any useful insights which is why you responded the way you did originally. Which is weird because you have all sorts of insights all over these boards when it is a politician on the right doing something. But the moment it is a politician on the left or an issue caused by the left suddenly you are "not concerned" or won't "vote for that person" or "not my city" or other lame excuse.
You're trying to Muslim me.
Chicago is my city. You don't like my response unless I go all WWE on the people to your satisfaction. I gave my opinion. I said I'm ok with Walgreens closing the stores.
I'm also gave you an invitation to an amazing world city that you know nothing about. Respectfully, you'd love it. Might even move there.
Free zoo that your kids would love. World class museums. Fireworks two nights a week and summer weather?
Did I mention the food?
I'd go there, but I wouldn't move there.
Can't afford the taxes and don't want the weather.
I would go to a Cubs game, though.
They play the A's (my team, born in Oakland), the 2nd,3rd,and 4th of June.
I might be able to squeeze a 2 day trip, but that would be skinny.
Would I survive, lol?
