Ok, fair enough. I just find it hard to believe that a group of bros would go do some foul play on their black friend just bc. Even if they were doing coke and partying they wouldnt want to kill him. Occams razor says black guy who cant swim well got f'd up and drowned. Maybe something else happened but I go out on boats alot to drink in similar scenarios and i can see how a drunk person can end up in a riptide esp if theyre not a strong swimmer. The ocean is not a place to mess around and people who dont know the water dont understand inlets and moving water. We had a couple of Mexicans here in Isle of Palms last summer go swimming in an inlet and they drowned real quick. It was sad but there were a ton of no swimming signs even with pictures so non english speakers could get the gist.

It is really hard to believe that a group of friends went out with the intention to kill one of their friends. In fact, I don't even believe that is what happened.

But it isn't hard to believe the party got out of control and one thing led to another, and even though it was an accident, he did not go in the water voluntarily. That's way down on my list of probabilities, but it could have happened. I think that is all the family is asking for and they don't happen to trust the government right now, so they want, as the NAACP said several times in the news conference, transparency. I think that is a fair request. I think things will be transparent when the findings are able to be determined in a few weeks. These things take time and we all want the answer now.

It isn't hard to believe he went in the ocean voluntarily, got caught in a rip tide and just wasn't a strong enough swimmer to get out. Drunk or sober, I don't think I would have the ability to get out of a riptide and I am an average to slightly above average swimmer who once upon a time in the Caribbean, as a grown ass man-not a teenager, almost went in the ocean, voluntarily, very, very drunk.

I'm just saying based on the available information, there are more questions than answers about what happened that day. There's no harm in letting the parents grieve. There's no harm in letting them demand better from the people who are investigating.

That's kind a pleasant, generic comment that no one really can disagree with ... specifically, however:

1. There is zero evidence of foul place - a kid drowning in a rip tide is not a "man bites dog" story ... tragically it happens especial when drugs / alcohol are involved

2. There is zero reason to think his life long friends would plot a plan to murder him in public on the biggest day of the year at the island

3. Engaging proven liar, race hustlers portrays that this is about finding the truth

4. The race hustlers have already started spreading disinformation just like they do in all of these cases

I think many of us are tired of local crime stories but re-packaged by the left-wing media and the race pimps to spread disinformation and hatred.

Isn't he the one that said that a parent could have prevented Karmelo from stabbing someone in the fkn heart?

I didn't know it takes an adult for something like that to not happen....

It is true. Karmelo's parents could have prevented him from stabbing the kid in the heart. Where were they when this went down?

Yes he is. He said an adult under that tent would have stopped this.

Although I think an adult (athletic trainer) asked him to leave and he still didn't. But it was a female so maybe it needed to be a male…..

But it still proves his adult point wrong.

According to the trial transcript, a female trainer asked him to leave. She immediately exited the tent. Anthony did not. There was no adult present.

According to the trial transcript, every kid who took the stand mentioned going to get an adult or yelling for adults to come help after the stabbing. If an adult was present under the tent, you don't have to go get one or yell for one.

Not a single adult could speak to the altercation between Metcalf and Anthony. You can't testify to what you didn't see.

The trial transcript is clear. There was no adult present when the altercation that led to the stabbing occurred.

You are a damn fool if you actually believe this. No generation has increased the size and scope of government or deferred more authority to the central government than the Boomers.

The Boomers did leave things better than they found them in many ways. They received no thanks from the malignants, however, just demands that they should have made the current brats rich as well.

Am I suppose to thank you for the $40 trillion national debt? Or the purchasing power of the USD declining over 100% since 1970?

I dont expect to convince a bunch of Boomers what a bunch of ****-ups they are... accepting responsibility isnt really something your generation is good at.

I did. I coached baseball for a long, long time. I took over for a soccer coach midseason when a family emergency created a team without a coach. I never left players alone. Never. There was always me or an assistant.

It's been over 30 years since I played high school sports. One of them track. I don't remember ever being left alone but 30 year old memories aren't always correct.

The problem is with the adult who left. She sked Anthony to leave. He didn't. She did. Why didn't she stay and send a kid for help if this was a situation she could not control? She left and things took a dark, dark turn.

Anthony is 100% responsible for that event. I've said that since post one in this thread. Self defense in TX requires three things. The first two are debatable. The third one is not. His response was not equal to the offending act. He's guilty.

And even though that's true, we must still ask, where were the adults? And why did this one leave without him? The answers don't absolve Anthony of guilt, but they may save a life in the future.

Yes a female adult trainer asked him to leave. He did not. Proving your point of if an adult was present he wouldn't have stabbed him. An adult asked him to leave and he did not.

He instead chose to stab someone even though there was an adult that asked him to leave and probably over 100 other adults, including police in the area.

He didn't comply with the adult the first time. Why do you think he magically would have complied if she had stayed?????

Track meets are always different than other team settings where the coach doesn't leave the players. Other sports the team travels together, sits together, plays together at the same time and other than maybe a trip to the bathroom is under the coaches observation.

But even then there are exceptions like tournaments where the kids go to concession stands, bathroom, sit in different areas, etc.

At a track meet the coaches are off coaching kids in the various events and the kids are left alone. It has been this way for a long long time. I remember in high school having to go find coaches to report time, jumps, etc.

Sorry but if an adult was present they might have been the one stabbed. The presence of an adult doesn't stop things like this 100% of the time.

You missed or are willfully ignoring the part that he waited for the adult to leave. If she stays, Austin has no need to feel he needs to stand up and walk up two rows to try and make Anthony leave. She sends a kid for another coach or one of the security guards and stays, until more help arrives or Anthony caves, this is a game changer.

Yes, I saw kids do stupid things with an adult present. But I almost always saw kids wait till the adult left. And that's what happened here.

I don't think so. I think when it got physical, he decided that's how it would end.

The actions of the trainer seem to support this too. She asks him to leave. He doesn't, so she leaves. If he was putting off a sketchy vibe to her, she doesn't leave. If the kids are in danger, you have a duty to stay and get the kids away from the danger. Why did she leave if the kid was up to no good? The most obvious answer is that at that point, other than being where he shouldn't be, nobody was in danger.

I heard one person say Anthony stood up, so she left thinking he was leaving. That's a rookie teacher mistake. First, never turn your back on a kid, especially if you believe the kid is up to no good. Second, the trouble making kid always walks in front of you. You walk behind him. That's teaching 101.

I don't think Anthony went in that tent with the intention to stab anyone. I think he had a point to prove when it got physical. It's unfortunate that point was murder. It's fortunate the jury saw through it.

The evidence is:

(1) perp brought a knife to a school event;
(2) perp has anger management issues;
(3) perp believes himself to be hood rat;
(3) perp purposely stirred the pot in the hopes that someone would disrespect him;
(5) victim then disrespected the perp;
(6) perp then killed the victim because:
(a) perp brought a knife to a school event;
(b) perp has anger management issues;
(c) perp believes himself to be a hood rat; and
(d) perp was disrespected.

Inserting an adult changes none of these facts. Perp was disrespected.

Blah blah blah. An adult asked him to leave and he did not comply and instead stabbed someone. If an adult was there it still would have happened. Probably to the adult.

The FACT is he stabbed someone after an adult asked him to leave and that destroys any argument you have about an adult and he is rightfully in prison.

Yes...and you have to wonder how much culture or should we say twisted form of culture contributed to it.

[According to Chi Brown, there are two major factors currently driving the majority of the dysfunction and criminality in the black community.

The first is the continued glorification of ghetto culture. He explains how the legitimate struggle for civil rights led to always highlighting what the black community lacked at the expense of what they could and already had accomplished. This engendered the rise of a social identity, which equated being authentically black with being poor, oppressed, and rising up "from the streets."
This, according to Brown, is why you will see black people from middle-class upbringings, like the rapper Drake or Jasmine Crockett, adopt ghetto mannerisms so as to appear "more black." This singular fixation on ghetto culture went mainstream through hip-hop and rap culture in the late 80's and throughout the 90's, and has been pushed and amplified by the Left and social media ever since.

The second major factor responsible for all the crime and dysfunction in the black community is the removal of social barriers or cultural corrections which traditionally kept such anti-social behavior in check. Brown comments, "in a lot of black America, those corrections got switched off, one at a time some got switched off by other people and some got switched off by ourselves."

Those barriers are.....

4. The Failure of the Black Community to Correct Itself.
Brown explains how blacks themselves made, "snitching the worst thing a black person can do...and to make loyalty to the race more important than loyalty to the truth." He then recounts a story of how when he was young, he had attended a predominantly white private school. He was visiting with a friend from "the hood" who was mocking him about having too many white friends which grew heated enough that his friend wanted to fight about it. Brown told his friend he didn't want to fight over it, to which his friend replied, "You've been hanging around those white boys too long, that's why you won't fight me."
That statement stuck with Brown his entire life because to him it meant that his friend,
"believed that being quick to throw hands was what it meant to be black, that backing down made me less black. And here's the kicker, his parents were deep into civil rights. That's correction switching itself off! Inside his head he was taught that violence was an authentic part of being black, that the calm was the sell-out part. When a community starts teaching that, that's when the community stops correcting itself and starts protecting the stuff that is killing us."]

He brought a knife to school property. He intended to stab someone.

This kid is a cold blooded murderer.

Makes you wonder what would have happened if MLK had lived. He embraced nonviolence as a practical and moral strategy, but he rejected absolute pacifism, advocating a realistic approach to social change and human conflict.

Yea....I am not sure there is much MLK could have done to prevent large segments of an entire community from trying to define themselves away from White people....searching for their own identity...but by embracing the most destructive traits of the lower class of their own ethnic-racial community.

This terrible idea that "backing down" is what Whites do....while being quick to violence is being true and "authentically Black".

MLK as one single man could not turn back such a toxic idea all on his own.

I don't think MLK would've stopped anything assuming black culture continued to develop as it has.

That's what it comes down to. Their culture started getting real bad in the late 80s and early 90s.

Also white people (professors, teachers, media) constantly talking about slavery and mentioning race every 5 seconds has done us no favors.

The decline started long before the late 1980s and early 1990s. That period is what I call the White Suburban Women Endorsement. Rap and ghetto music started its slide into thug culture during the period and but for these women lapping it up, those records would not have been commercially successful.

The turn in the black community dates back to LBJ and his Great Society. His program ran fathers out of the homes and like his democrat ancestors, enslaved blacks into generational poverty.

The obsession with slavery while barely acknowledging all the advancements blacks have made since then did no favors for anyone. That too narrow focus has done more harm to everyone, especially blacks.

I agree. If you constantly remind these people how white people had them in chains, they're going to develop resentment towards us.

Final autopsy was delivered to the sheriff's office today. It has not been released to anyone else yet though. We will hopefully know the answers to questions soon.

You mean a very, very small percentage of white people kept them in chains. Several hundred thousand white people laid down their lives to free them from the democrats.
