Texans had disliked Cornyn for a long long time.
And Cornyn has to be blamed for being a powerful Senator for 24 years! And yet he failed to win a actual voter base in Texas (most Texans could not stand him or were lukewarm about him)....he focused his whole career on building a rich donor base instead.
