Perp has been in the country since 2007. Why did Bush or Trump 1 not do anything about him?

He was arrested as recently as October 2025. Where was ICE to deport him? Were they too buys doing unsafe, warrantless stops of citizens and legal residents in other parts of CA to focus on any of the violent criminals we were told would be deported?

Interesting in your complaint you didn't mention Obummer or Auto Pen. Thank goodness things are a lot different than they were from 2021-2024 when oatmeal for brains was literally green lighting an invasion of unvetted illegal aliens like this perp in the cynical name of recruiting a future dumocrat voting base - without caring at all about the inevitable collateral damage to legal citizens.

Far from a complaint, just noting that the perp lived here perfectly freely for ~8-9 of the last 19 years under republican administrations who did nothing either, ergo, the title is at best, disingenuous.

When I voted for Trump in 2024, this is exactly the type of person I thought we would be targeting for removal asap based on the campaign rhetoric. Yet he was still here 2 years into the term, despite being arrested for a felony charge, and committed murder.

We can certainly talk about the flood of illegal immigration between 2021-2024, which has, thankfully, been corrected by this administration (quite literally the only thing they have done well IMO), but that has 0 to do with this case, and you know that.

1. The Bush faction of the Republican donor class likes mass migration and has never been serious about stopping it.

Cheap labor is good for the Wall St. class....not matter how it hurts normal Americans.

2. Trump has been endlessly thwarted in trying to deport people like this....whole States, like Minnesota, have come dangerously close to being in open insurrection against Federal laws and policies.

[Federal and immigration judges have continuously blocked or limited several key components of President Trump's mass deportation and detention agenda. Lower courts have issued temporary blocks on fast-track removals, courthouse arrests, and protected status revocations, higher appellate courts and the Supreme Court have also allowed some administration enforcement priorities to proceed]

[According to a The New York Times litigation tracker, while courts have allowed some of the administration's policies to stay in effect in more than 500 active cases, judges have issued temporary restraining orders or preliminary injunctions to halt or partially block policies...]

[Twelve states and the District of Columbia have officially refused to assist the Trump administration's mass deportation efforts by enacting statewide "sanctuary" laws or policies. These policies explicitly prohibit local and state law enforcement officers from collaborating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).]

Plus let's not forget how liberal idiots, and politicians, stymie ICE every chance they get

Did any of what you cite re: Trump come into play here? Possibly/probably with respect to referrals to ICE by the California arrests/judges; however, I suspect given it is a NY Post article cited, that any direct interference by California, the judges, etc. would have been highlighted.

Arrest records are public. If ICE were doing the logical thing we were promised, they could be monitoring dockets for illegal immigrants and actually doing what we were told would be done,

Instead, we have the human equivalent of the flock camera running around in unmarked SUVs. Sure, there will be some arrests and deportations from that on a volume basis alone, but, just like flock, at the expense of civil rights because **** you, do as you're told so you dont get hurt or illegally investigated.

Nice dodge. Speaking of inventing things, I didn't say you complained about deporting criminals. I said you complained about the way ICE goes about it.

In one paragraph you're asking why ICE didn't remove this guy after his arrest.

In the next you're comparing ICE enforcement to mass surveillance and claiming civil-rights violations. Those are your words, not a scenario I invented.

Improve your reading comprehension.

Did any of what you cite re: Trump come into play here?

Local progressive policies (and failure of local leftwing leadership to stand against illegal immigration) are to blame.

[Marcos Iriarte-Valdez was not deported primarily because he initially entered and resided in the U.S. legally for many years, and local jail authorities did not honor federal immigration detainers due to California's sanctuary laws.

The breakdown of why deportation had not occurred involves several key legal and jurisdictional factors...

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Iriarte-Valdez originally entered the U.S. legally in December 2007 under the George W. Bush administration.

federal records show his legal status lapsed or was revoked sometime later, and ICE officially flagged his status by lodging an initial immigration detainer against him on September 23, 2025.

Impact of California's Sanctuary Policies:
  • Refusal to Cooperate: Under California's state sanctuary laws (SB 54), local law enforcement agencies and county jails are heavily restricted from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.
  • Missed Custody Transfers: Because of these policies, local jail officials in Contra Costa County did not hold Iriarte-Valdez for ICE or notify federal agents to pick him up when he was in local custody for his April 2026 burglary charges or his August 4, 2026 home monitoring violation
  • Judicial Discretion: Because deportation processes operate entirely in civil federal immigration courts, local criminal court judges handle bail and jail releases based strictly on state criminal guidelines
  • Released Privately: When Judge Nichelle Holmes ordered his release on his own recognizance on August 5, 2026, he was returned directly back to the community rather than being transferred to ICE custody. Federal border officials, including White House border czar Thomas Homan, stated that this created a fatal gap where "politics of a sanctuary jurisdiction" prevented his removal before the crime occurred.]

Is that what happened here? Should we have posted an ICE agent to stop every person on every corner?

An illegal immigrant with multiple arrests over the 19+ years he has been in this country but has never been detained by ICE or deported commits murder and this is taken at face value as evidence that the left is the problem. Why hasnt the federal government, which had been controlled by republicans for roughly half the time he had been in the country, enforced the law? Why is ICE spending time riding around randomly stopping citizens and causing mayhem when illegal alien criminals are being arrested and they are doing nothing?

You can say my questions are bull****, but that doesn't make it so.

Perp has been in the country since 2007. Why did Bush or Trump 1 not do anything about him?

And there it is - just as suspected. You'll ***** about ICE not deporting criminals, and then when they actually do so, you'll complain about the way they go about it.

You like to make up scenarios for which there is no evidence.

Please show me where I have ever complained about ICE deporting criminals. I will hang up and listen.

If you want to try reading what I actually said and engage with reality, I will be around.

That is not at all what you said, but you can keep pretending it was because it makes you feel better.

You identify the differences, but ignore what I actually said or the nuance involved. I will not connect the dots for you. I have never complained about the way ICE deports anyone. That is a full fledged lie. I have complained about how they trample the constitutional rights of citizens and legal residents to try and find illegal immigrants.

Are "surges" of ICE agents in specific cities not similar enough to mass surveillance to worry you one bit about the power over every day movement and actions of citizens the federal government has asserted in the last ~2 years?

Thank goodness things are a lot different than they were from 2021-2024 when oatmeal for brains was literally green lighting an invasion of unvetted illegal aliens like this perp in the cynical name of recruiting a future dumocrat voting base without caring at all about the inevitable collateral damage to legal citizens.

If you had read the article, you would have seen that CA is actively thwarting ICE's attempts to deport criminals like these.

Would you suggest they rush in like a bull in a China shop like they did in MN? I suspect you would have complained about that as well.

Is there any evidence that ICE was impeded from deporting him here? Again, arrest records are public. If ICE were spending less time speeding through my neighborhood in unmarked SUVs pulling over legal residents and citizens, maybe they could do something resembling police work and actually remove violent offender.

You're almost coming to the conclusion and admitting that the show of force and sweeps aren't doing what Trump promised.

The saddest part about your bull**** here is that you'll gladly embarrass yourself in the face of facts presented in this conversation and in no time you'll be repeating the same false claims and acting like you didn't already get destroyed on the topic.

1. Should we have posted an ICE agent to stop every person on every corner?

2. An illegal immigrant with multiple arrests over the 19+ years he has been in this country but has never been detained by ICE or deported commits murder and this is taken at face value as evidence that the left is the problem.

3.Why hasnt the federal government, which had been controlled by republicans for roughly half the time he had been in the country, enforced the law?

1. Well I doubt you would like that option...apparently you hate that ICE even drives around in your rich kid neighborhood

[303bear: If ICE were spending less time speeding through my neighborhood in unmarked SUVs pulling over legal residents and citizens]

2. He was arrested many times and local progressive jurisdictions refused to turn him over to the Feds or even have the decency to let the Feds know he was released.

[Because of these policies, local jail officials in Contra Costa County (California) did not hold Iriarte-Valdez for ICE or notify federal agents to pick him up when he was in local custody for his April 2026 burglary charges or his August 4, 2026 home monitoring violation

3. We have been over the failure of big business Republican Presidents like Bush and open borders Democrats like Biden to enforce the law. Strange that you are mad at Trump for this....the 1st President in decades to actually try to enforce the law and stem the endless tide of illegal mass immigration.

Not a surprise this happened in a sanctuary state like Cali. The left is pure evil.

Perp has been in the country since 2007. Why did Bush or Trump 1 not do anything about him?

"You'll ***** about ICE not deporting criminals, and then when they actually do so, you'll complain about the way they go about it."

I'll let others decide if you're completely full of *****

Hint: You are.

Show me where I have complained about ICE deporting an illegal immigrant. Not shooting a citizen, not stopping a legal resident with no cause. Deporting an illegal immigrant.

You are still making up situations in your mind to justify your own self righteous anger.

Judicial Discretion: Because deportation processes operate entirely in civil federal immigration courts, local criminal court judges handle bail and jail releases based strictly on state criminal guidelines
Released Privately: When Judge Nichelle Holmes ordered his release on his own recognizance on August 5, 2026, he was returned directly back to the community rather than being transferred to ICE custody.]

3. We have been over the failure of big business Republican Presidents like Bush and open borders Democrats like Biden to enforce the law. Strange that you are mad at Trump for this....the 1st President in decades to actually try to enforce the law and stem the endless tide of illegal mass immigration.

You keep assigning a whole lot of positions to me that I have never taken. If you care to address anything I have actually said, you are welcome to do so. Judicial discretion has nothing to do with ICE's ability to come get him based on a public arrest record if they actually cared about doing their job.

Also, the Houston East End will be glad to hear it is a "rich kid" neighborhood.

Yes they are arresting citizens, at least 170 as of last year. They have also shot several citizens and legal residents and at least one man in Houston who was not who they were even allegedly looking for.

"You'll ***** about ICE not deporting criminals, and then when they actually do so, you'll complain about the way they go about it."

I'll let others decide if you're completely full of *****

Hint: You are.

Show me where I have complained about ICE deporting an illegal immigrant. Not shooting a citizen, not stopping a legal resident with no cause. Deporting an illegal immigrant.

You are still making up situations in your mind to justify your own self righteous anger.

Not only a liar, but a glutton for punishment:

"Instead, we have the human equivalent of the flock camera running around in unmarked SUVs. Sure, there will be some arrests and deportations from that on a volume basis alone, but, just like flock, at the expense of civil rights because **** you, do as you're told so you dont get hurt or illegally investigated."

Are they arresting good law abiding citizens?

Know when to stop digging, son. Revisionist word salads aren't going to change what you posted.

Isnt there something in the Bible about bearing false witness?

Yes they are arresting citizens, at least 170 as of last year. They have also shot several citizens and legal residents and at least one man in Houston who was not who they were even allegedly looking for.

We can disagree over the tactics, but calling facts lies is beneath you.

Just more of your lies and dumbassery.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested more than 127,000 noncitizens with prior criminal convictions between January 2025 and early 2026, according to arrest records. And you're complaining about 170 bad arrests, all of which were likely overturned.

I appreciate your attempt to spin, but my statement stands:

"You'll ***** about ICE not deporting criminals, and then when they actually do so, you'll complain about the way they go about it."

You keep addressing points I've never made and/or miss the point of what I have actually said. That's fine, else can agree to disagree and I am sure the strawmen you built at likely at end of their endurance. You have thoroughly thrashed them.

It Thursday evening, so we will likely bomb Iran within the next 24 hours and then you will feel better.

Ah, yes, you are the misunderstood victim. You never actually said anything or took any positions attributed to you on this thread.

Of course. This is what you do - say a bunch of bull ****, and then when someone calls you out on it, either deny you said it, or claim your position has been mischaracterized and quibble over the wording..

As I said earlier, everyone on this thread can judge from your own comments whether you're full of *****

Keep spinning.

Not a surprise this happened in a sanctuary state like Cali. The left is pure evil.

Perp has been in the country since 2007. Why did Bush or Trump 1 not do anything about him?

You like scenarios that you "win" regardless of reality.

All I asked was for you to point out where I actually said any of the things that you claimed I said z. You have quoted and re-quoted me without ever showing anywhere I have actually complained about ICE deporting illegal immigrants. Which I have never done.

I'm not spinning anything.

You're inventing things to fit your agenda.

More quibbling.

You're an intellectually dishonest jackass who projects and gaslights - accusing others of that of which you are guilty. This thread is a perfect example of why it's a complete waste of time to engage with you.

Everyone who has read this thread knows exactly what you said. As I said, I will let other's decide if you've been mischaracterized.
