I would have voted for Cornyn but I won't for Paxton. Total screw up by Trump.

I agree with you, Milli. Blue Looney Tunes vs. the Red philandering crook! What could possibly go wrong?

Kinda like picking between colon cancer and prostate cancer. Not gonna do it. Hard pass for me on both.
Call it a tax, the people are outraged! Call it a tariff, the people get out their checkbooks and wave their American flags!!!

Talarico is the Beto-Max. Tons of money spent hyping him up, but no sane adult should let him play Senator.

This will come down to turnout.

Yep. This was something called an analogy. Sorry,- did not mean to offend. The point is we have two options for the vacant Senate spot. And they are both absolutely HORRIBLE!!!

Congrats on your successful battle against cancer. The world would be less interesting without OldBear83. I am being sincere when I tell you this.

Bit of a tangent, but one problem I did not see coming, was some survivors guilt. When you make it through when others did not, and you know full well some who didn't make were better people than you, you can't help but feel like you owe a big debt you can never pay .

Sorry if I was curt there, but after seeing what it does to people and their caregivers, I will never joke about cancer or treat it like it's just like other things that happen to people.

The complaints against Paxton seem to centered on his personal life while the complaints against Talarico are almost entirely about his policy pronouncements. So, which do want representing Texas in the Senate? One of them will be our next Senator and none of us can think we are being personally responsible by not voting for either of them.

The last time republicans stood on principle and chose not to vote, we got Joe Biden/Kamala Harris. Choose one or the other candidate based on the issues and live with it.

We need better candidates. The Republicans are running a guy for governor of Colorado named Marx that claims to have met Satan in person. I kid you not! That pretty much sums up the current mindset of the Republican Party.

I will never again vote for anyone that is blatantly corrupt. But you do you.

Conservatives sitting this out are just idiots. The system can survive a Paxton, he will at least support conservative policies and fight progressivism. Our youth and our state cannot afford a Talafreako. He supports child abuse (transitioning) and he is a fake, duplicitous man, who supports terrible and evil policies, but gets by because he wears a kind face. I'm embarrassed by the low-T conservatives that will willingly throw our kids futures into the hands of the left by sitting this out. You all are an embarrassment to masculinity. Paxton is not great, but Cornyn was fired for being a moderate scum sucker, Paxton will fight for the correct policies. This is an easy vote.

WWIII is different than working with Israel to destroy the Iranian regime, so you're definitely right. Open borders are different than controlled immigration, so you're right again. Killing the unborn is different than allowing them to live, so again, you're right. Promoting sexual deviancy to children is different than teaching them to have good morals, so right again! Promoting sex changes to children and the mentally ill is different than promoting mental health care. Seems like evil and good are different, so you're wrong there. Hope this help!

Until we start making things better ... OK, great. Such wonderful meaningless platitudes. Completely weak and mind-numbing gibberish.

Christians sitting out elections doesn't do jack squat for making things better. The best Christians can do is to vote in the primaries for the best candidate, and to try to help that candidate to win by speaking out in favor of that candidate. Traditional Christians need to become more political, not less. They need to get involved to make change.

At the end of the day, Christians can only impact based on the above. The unwashed masses will pick and choose their candidates, and we will be left with the two choices. No since in pretending otherwise.

Letting a kid-transitioning, woke policy wh0re, abomination of a man win this election is the most childish, short-sighted thing any grown Christian man could do. It's truly shameful watching the pearl clutching going on from the low-T conservatives who will gladly look the other way. Paxton isn't the best, not even likable, but he will absolutely do his job to fight progressivism. And if Christians don't see progressivism as the true enemy, then they are idiots, dumb, short sighted, defeated, half-men. I will gladly always vote against the party that celebrates transitioning kids, attacking their sexuality, celebrating evil, etc. The low-T pearl-clutchers can sit it out and watch as the country's domestic policies move more towards Canadian dystopia and starts arresting Christians for praying in public.

You on the other hand wear clown shoes and play make believe in "making change".

No, sorry.

Sure, of course not.

And so what - vote for someone like the kid-transitioning supporter Talarico who will definitely vote FOR terrible things, or vote for a Paxton. Not my favorite, but it's an easy choice.

You're that guy that can't work his way out of a paper sack. Brain freezes and surrenders because you have two options that aren't great. We don't have a perfect system, everyone who wants to vote, gets to vote, some of those people are tr-nny-celebrating people like JR. Christians just need to vote the best that they can, and in this case, Talarico vs Paxton, it's an easy vote against Talarico.

And Cornyn just got fired. Paxton will as well if he becomes a RINO. He's not a dumb guy. He will placate his voters so he can stay in his seat longer.

People who are informed enough to know that communism has never and will never succeed in providing anything for the masses other than AT BEST spreading misery a bit thinner and don't take the approach of making it a point to at least vote for the lesser of two evils completely baffles me.

The people I know who are close to Paxton have news for you if you think he will absolutely do his job to fight progressivism. Don't count on it. He's as big a wh0re as any politician you'll find.

I've been plenty specific about the change we need. Protect life and marriage. Stop war and genocide. Respect the law and the Constitution. None of us like the agenda of the far left. Some of us also dislike the increasing lawlessness, authoritarianism, and racism of the GOP. If you embrace it, that's your choice. Just please don't imagine it gives you any kind of moral high ground.

Are you able to be more specific about the problems with Paxton that will keep him from opposing progressives' policies?

I wouldn't have voted for Cornyn either. You don't understand the stakes involved in this flirtation we're pursuing with dictatorship and world war. And you're the one surrendering, not me. I at least have some hope that we'll get better representation if we demand it. Your party is rapidly abandoning any semblance of constitutional government in order to wage a (mostly) cold civil war.

The left is more racist, more divisive, and happy to warmonger. You're a clown show. Zero credibility.

That wouldn't matter much even if it were true. We'll never change course until we start making things better, not just varying degrees of worse.

NO you dumb ***** Appreciate the mention. Bro, you are not smart. Enough with the ****** ***** you don''t even know enough to have a decent take. They are called Ladyboys and they are a part of society just like anyone else, which I respect! BTW clown, since it seems you haven't been out of Texas, Thai Ladyboys are not the same as we see in the US. Many are striking and a hell of a lot more famine than US women. They have normal jobs and as I mentioned are part of the society.

Perhaps history can teach you something. Kateoy (3rd gender as it was referred)) were prominent in ancient civilizations. Greek, Victorian, Middle East. I have a person who works for me who would identify as such. Little fella, you wouldn't be able to tell. Oh, she got her MBA from Columbia...you? Oh, education or mass comm degree? I will put it real succinctly for your judgmental, hateful christianness. How I worship is NONE of your business. Who works for me and who my friends are, are NONE of your business. I'm only going to say this one time. I'm not interested in Ladyboys. To the contrary, my partner is 100% Thai who is a business owner (manufacturing). You? Do you own you own company or work for the man or just show up to teach your homemaking class. Finally, you and several others on here who are the loud Christian Culture Warriors do more harm the kingdom than good. You are what is wrong with Christianity. You are that guy. No thanks.
