I tend to think that Christian history is checkered, but generally positive. So I tend to doubt that the Crusades were just a land grab. But as I said, I've not studied that historically, maybe you can tell us why you are so sure that they were not justifiable.

The Crusades were defensive wars that ultimately saved Europe from being completely overrun by Muslims who would've obviously imposed Islam on the European continent. In the process, were there atrocities on both sides? Hitler is the dictator Leftists love to hate because Stalin told them he was on the Right. Stalin lied. And before the war, there were plenty of progressives who praised Hitler. But Stalin was worse, in terms of how long he terrorized the people and the numbers of his victims. Mao was far worse than either. In this instance, Talarico's guy is literally engaged in what he admits is basically corruption, and Trump is talking about yet another government handout. The (bad policy in my opinion) handout would go to people who didn't vote for Republicans. Trump's promise is pretty typical. Basically paying people to vote is not typical.

Really? Read the sign. Can you read? What does it say? Where on that sign does it say "justified", it doesn't. You are wrong, you made it into something the words do not say and then go off on digging like you won something. Words have meaning. Just because you imply something doesn't make it so. Just admit it is a bad sign and that there have been lots of killers, including Christians. Whoever made it thought they were clever and it is a poorly written propaganda tool, as it can be argued numerous different ways. But you agree, so it is gospel.
