Someone here asked a very valid question. Is Trump going to tariff himself and the United States for importing diesel from Russia?

Now he can (try to) blame Ukraine for higher diesel prices, and advocate for taking away their support over it when they refuse to stop attacking refineries. He's already demanding that Europe end their weapon and material transfers if Ukraine won't back off. Plus it puts a little money back in Russia's coffers right when they really need ot.

I think this Russian diesel deal is magnificent! Halt sanctions on Russian (regardless of what the Graham Law says), Let them sell diesel out on the open market and further fuel their war machine against Ukraine. What's not to like? I really think Piggy is losing his marbles and is not anchored in reality. Meanwhile , ole Piggy announces a ceasefire on Russian and Ukrainian Petro Infrastructure. Only problem is ole Piggy forgot to run it by both of them. He done gone cray! Bat **** Cray. Hey Piggy...too little, too late. Aint nothing happening till the D's clean the R's clock in the mid terms. That can be blamed on one person and one person only. Fat Orange!

The envoy is Kirill Dmitriev, head of Russia's RDIF and Putin's special envoy for investment/economic cooperation.

On Oct 16 at Russian Energy Week in Moscow, he said that after the recent Trump-Putin diesel supply deal, Russia and the US are discussing joint data-center projects that could draw power from Russian nuclear plants, including small-scale reactors. A project list involving Russian firms exists, but talks are preliminary, nothing is signed, and sanctions create major payment hurdles. He expects more announcements soon. No US confirmation has been reported.
