on trumped up charges with no evidence

All charges were dropped for obvious reasons, except the kangaroo court in New York which was blatantly unconstitutional and violated his rights as a defendant. But the fascists don't care about such things. And each of those prosecution teams have their own scandals. Jack Smith probably belongs in jail. Arguably, Leticia James does as well.

For those who don't remember, here are several stacks of "no evidence."

Debunked.

Look I don't like Trump and most of his actions.

But a picture of boxes proves nothing. I have some of those same boxes with papers/books in my home. Is that "proof" of anything?

No.

If it was proof then there would have been a trial and a guilty verdict beyond the show trial we got.

But you did a great job of deflecting the topic of this thread from Omar to Trump as almost every post after this one is about him and not the possible laws broken by her or the investigation.

I don't think "debunked" means what you think it means.

And the original post was about Trump too.

I am using it the way you use it.

Not quite.

Yup. Just look at your post for proof. You deleted the part you don't like/proves you wrong and cherry picked a specific part to reply to.

BEHOLD: Democrats who said "no one is above the law" are very upset that the DOJ is investigating a Democrat

https://notthebee.com/article/behold-democrats-who-said-no-one-is-above-the-law-are-very-upset-that-the-doj-is-investigating-a-democrat

They loved to say "No one is above the law" when they used law fare against Trump in fake charges and no evidence but not so much when one of them apparently is guilty of very serious crimes.

a political appointee in Trump's first administration asked immigration authorities to look into Rep. Ilhan Omar's records in 2019, but officials concluded there was insufficient evidence of fraud or citizenship issues.
The review in 2019 did not seek to prove she was an "illegal immigrant"as she entered the country legally as a refugee from Somalia in the 1990s and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2000. Instead, the inquiry targeted long-circulating rumors regarding potential marriage and application fraud.
The details regarding the 2019 review and its outcomes include:
  • The 2019 Request: According to former immigration officials, a political appointee asked career staff at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) to scrub Omar's refugee and naturalization history. Career staffers at the time flagged the request as highly unusual.
  • The Outcome: After reviewing her records and her family's history, HSI officials concluded there was not enough evidence of wrongdoing or citizenship fraud to open a full case, and the inquiry was abandoned.

I realize this will make absolutely no difference to "conservatives," but the accusations against Trump were in fact very real.

Not only real, Trump had every opportunity to cure before it went to warrant. He is willing to burn down the country.

Yessir.

If that were the full truth, then Biden would have been prosecuted well before Trump. Justice has not been blind for some time on the matter of classified documents. If it had, both men would have been charged, tried, and if found guilty then sentenced as hard as all the government grunts that have served time.
As it has stood for a long time, the executive big wigs and Congress members get a whole lot of leeway.

Biden cooperated and returned the documents. Trump had more than enough opportunity to do the same, but he refused. It's not that complicated.

Biden had not cooperated for many years before that, but was never raided or searched until Trump was targeted for documents. It was not a secret about Biden and documents, it just wasn't pursued until Trump. Even then the reasons not to pursue any further charges against Joe Biden are garbage. He was never going to be in any real trouble.
It has been as I stated above. DC rules have been ridiculously different for the elites. Trump became the exception for that.
Simplistic view you have there that is not what the document investigation into Biden concluded in its own documents.

Not even close to the truth. The initial batch of Biden documents was discovered by his own lawyers and returned the next day. Biden cooperated with the DOJ to locate and return the rest of them as quickly as possible. The investigation concluded that the documents could plausibly have been kept by mistake and that prosecution was unwarranted because the evidence didn't establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

In contrast, the Trump documents were found missing by the National Archives. What followed was more than a year of haggling, obstruction, and defiance by Trump, during which time the documents were stored in a grossly unsecure manner and, in some instances, openly displayed to his guests. To this day it's still not clear whether all of them were recovered.

The timing of the statements you quoted don't match what you are trying to say. Biden's documents were out there known well before that statement was made. This is you trying to be twisty.

Now explain the dottering old man defense for not proceeding to court.

Apparently, now they have plenty of evidence since a Dem judge approved the search warrant. There is clear evidence she lied about her age and never was a legitimate citizen and thus not a legitimate member of Congress. It seems they also have DNA evidence that she married her brother.

Maybe it only required a DoJ willing to pursue the case.

I'm not sure what your first paragraph is saying. There was no investigation because the government didn't know the documents were missing. His lawyers returned them voluntarily after the Mar-a-Lago scandal broke.

It never went to court because Biden cooperated, it was plausible that he kept the documents by mistake, and the evidence didn't establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutors always evaluate the demeanor of witnesses. That doesn't mean it was the only factor, as some would have you believe.
