I'm interested in an infrastructure bill but only if it is for a wall. We spent $800 billion dollars on an infrastructure bill a month or so before Obama's $800+ billion dollar bailout bill. Too much money is being spent.
There are 58,500 structurally deficient bridges in America and at the current pace of bridge investmentit would take at least 21 years before they were all replaced or upgraded.

And you want to waste money on a wall when there is negative migration from south of the border? You want another Minneapolis to happen?
there are 58,500 federally owned bridges that are deficient? Just wanting clarification...

Add a fee to peoples vehicle registration for road and bridge repair. Add 10 cents per gallon specifically for road and bridge repair. Probably makes too much sense to charge the people who use it to maintain it right?
How will you determine who uses a bridge in any given state?

Gov. Abbott has deployed 350 members of the State Guard as of April, in a support role. There's good reason for this. Our military forces are trained to destroy our enemies whereas LEOs are tasked to protect and serve. Mixing those functions is a recipe for disaster. That's why we have statutes and case law prohibiting it.

From https://definitions.uslegal.com/p/posse-comitatus-act/
"In United States v. Yunis, 681 F. Supp. 891 (D.D.C. 1988), the court observed that , "The Posse Comitatus Act, provides that: Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the U.S. Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined not more than $ 10,000 or imprisoned not more than two years, or both." The court further observed that "The Posse Comitatus Act, 18 U.S.C.S. 1385 (1979), is designed to limit "the direct active use of federal troops by civil law enforcement officers" to enforce the laws of the nation. Limiting military involvement in civilian affairs is basic to our system of government and the protection of individual constitutional rights."

Let's put USBP agents on the border, get the military out of a law enforcement position, and let Americans travel unhindered inside their own country.

And as to negative inflow, even at closing time there are still some drunks left in the bar, but the dance floor is empty.

You really need to get out more, get out from behind the keyboard.....try South Texas and the RGV....heck just go to the taqueria in Refugio that's next to the Whataburger, you can see the ICE vehicles lined up and even talk to the agents. They ain't there escorting the wets back to the RGV and across the Rio Grande.

I seem to remember congress voting on the $800 billion bailout. It didn't pass the first time. Stock market plunged the most points it had in history. Credit markets froze in every industry for 3 months. Congress voted a second time to pass the bill, and it passed. Too much money is being spent, I agree. The Congressional $800 billion bailout was on congress and Wall Street. Let's go back to blaming presidents for things they are actually responsible for.
