...says Harvard researchers.

Women value flexibility and time away from work to raise children more than men because men and women have different values....AND THAT'S OK!!!

Quote:

Women value time away from work and flexibility more than men, taking more unpaid time off using the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and working fewer overtime hours than men. When overtime hours are scheduled three months in advance, men and women work a similar number of hours; but when those hours are offered at the last minute, men work nearly twice as many. When selecting work schedules, women try to avoid weekend, holiday, and split shifts more than men.

Quote:

We show that a gender earnings gap can exist even in a controlled environment where work tasks are similar, wages are identical, and tenure dictates promotions. The gap of $0.89 in our setting, which is 60% of the earnings gap across the United States, can be explained entirely by the fact that, while having the same choice sets in the workplace, women and men make different choices. Women use the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) to take more unpaid time off than men and they work fewer overtime hours at 1.5 times the wage rate. At the root of these different choices is the fact that women value time and flexibility more than men. Men and women choose to work similar hours of overtime when it is scheduled a quarter in advance, but men work nearly twice as many overtime hours than women when they are scheduled the day before. Using W-4 filings to ascertain marital status and the presence of dependents, we show that women with dependents especially single women value time away from work more than men with dependents. To avoid unfavorable work times, women prioritize their schedules over route safety and select routes with a higher probability of accidents. Women are less likely than men to game the scheduling system by trading off work hours at regular wages for overtime hours at premium wages.

The gender wage gap is a lie, yet Hillary boisterously professed it as injustice from every pulpit she could find. The left lies with the ease with which you breath.

Most studies have shown the wage gap is minimal when factoring in hours worked, education, etc. but people tend to jump straight to the gross numbers.

I'm not certain why it continues to be such a rallying cry politically.

Oh wait, yes I do.

Feminists seemed downright pissed off that women are the natural caretakers of children rather than embrace that ability.

The worst thing feminists can say to a young woman is "You can have it all!".

No, you can't. You cant work 60 hour weeks as a corp executive and raise 4 children the same way as a SAHM.

You will drive yourself crazy and will never feel satisfied and most of all you will RESENT the women who have what you dont. Find what makes you happy and focus on that.

Those that loudly profess the gender pay gap continue to show that they are looking for a quality of outcome instead of equality of opportunity.

Yes. Jack Bauer has wisdom, an exceedingly rare trait.

Raising good children is the single most important job a person can have, and feminism has worked diligently to belittle it as an occupation.
