Yeah sure, you know Trump extremely well don't ya?
Your "facts" are nothing but "your facts"
And you may have secure employment in private sector because the economy is better than its ever been, but why credit Trump's deregulations and tax cuts for being secure economically and in job

My views are based upon scientific measurements and theory. Yours are based upon unverified physically improbable tales of an Iron Age people, who were trying to find meaning, purpose and order in a world of competing religions and a world full of ignorance with a huge disconnect from reality. I'll take critical thinking skills over the "creative thinking" skills it takes for someone to believe that the laws of nature are suspended to accommodate extraordinary beliefs without any objective evidence.

Actually, you don't have eyewitness testimony. You only have versions of oral stories written down by scribes years later after contemporaries were long dead, that were altered, added to, and changed over time - all written by individuals with particular religious views and agendas to promote. There is no way to know what Jesus actually said or did. All we really know is that he was likely an apocalypitic humanitarian preacher who got himself crucified. That's about all you can say with reasonable certainty.BusyTarpDuster2017 said:No, none of us were there 2000 years ago.... but other people were, and saw with their own eyes.TexasScientist said:Florda_mike said:TexasScientist said:You need to do some research. The "truth" lies in the intersection of science and religion
Instead of teaming to find this "truth," science and religion choose to stay enemies
Unfortunate as I consider them siblings of God that he's given us to get closer to his "truth"
That's what my searching has come to, at least now
God allows us to know only so much and go only so far
Maybe someday it will shown to us to be as simple as night and day

Dude I studied Hawking before you left diapers I bet
Were you there 14,000,000,000 years ago to verify all this? Seriously? This is how science can never be wrong is making claims that can't be proven
Are you presently that many light years away from me to verify the speed of what you're on and it's distance from origin spot to verify all the math is right?
Do you know what created the "matter" that "Banged?"
Your "reality" can't be proven but you're so myopic you have no clue why it can't!
You're smart but lack foresight like most booksmart people that lack creative thinking skills
You might even be a 4.0 type but just could never make it in real world because you just can't think outside boxThink about what you are saying. I can return your words right back to you: "Were you there - 2,000 - years ago to verify all this? Seriously? This is how - religion - can never be wrong making claims that can't be proven."Quote:

My views are based upon scientific measurements and theory. Yours are based upon unverified physically improbable tales of an Iron Age people, who were trying to find meaning, purpose and order in a world of competing religions and a world full of ignorance with a huge disconnect from reality. I'll take critical thinking skills over the "creative thinking" skills it takes for someone to believe that the laws of nature are suspended to accommodate extraordinary beliefs without any objective evidence.
And we have their written testimonies today. Testimony of Jesus, who was raised from the dead.
Christianity is based on history.
Science derives at "truth" through objective, critical examination and testing of facts, questions and ideas. Religion arrives at "truth" through faith in dogma, without question or critical examination. Religion requires suspension of belief in known physical laws for belief in the supernatural. Science seeks knowledge and answers through objective examination and testing of questions. Religion presumes to know the answers before the questions. Truth is independent of the intersection of science and religion.Truth absolute is reality.Florda_mike said:Florda_mike said:TexasScientist said:Florda_mike said:TexasScientist said:You need to do some research. There is more than enough evidence to establish the Big Bang. Reality and the Universe are indifferent to your beliefs.Florda_mike said:TexasScientist said:Good point. The Big Bang certainly refutes the Genesis myths.Florda_mike said:TexasScientist said:At least I'm intelligent enough to not believe in primitive myths.Florda_mike said:TexasScientist said:
Harris is so obviously trying to straddle the political fence on this issue.
TS might be just a little more intelligent than Waco
Not much, but just a tad bit more
Tight race though
Big Bang?
You contradicted yourself by above statement to a lot of us
Big Bang is hypothetical and considered "myth" by many here

The "truth" lies in the intersection of science and religion
Instead of teaming to find this "truth," science and religion choose to stay enemies
Unfortunate as I consider them siblings of God that he's given us to get closer to his "truth"
That's what my searching has come to, at least now
God allows us to know only so much and go only so far
Maybe someday it will shown to us to be as simple as night and day
TS, I'm curious how you'd respond to above???
