Quite the opposite. An individual's tax returns are protected by federal law, and only in very limited circumstances may anyone request to see them. In the matter of the Congressional committee demanding those returns, statements made by committee members about revealing contents of the returns to the media/public is itself in violation of law, and provides grounds for the IRS/Treasury Department to refuse to release them, since the purpose stated in the statute is not the purpose stated by the Democrats.

You seem quite determined to ignore anything but getting something on Trump, Jinx. At best this is malicious and self-destructive, and frankly you won't be happy with the end result, since law does not dance to your whim.
