That's good news. If they can get MLB going this summer then, in theory, it might be possible to have football this Fall. But the longer this lockdown continues, that less likely that seems.

Once The Masters and US Open gave dates, it signaled the likelihood of football as well. Still optimistic, but could prove wrong.

Once again, their petty, childish ways sets them against the American people: I suspect most Americans want this all to be over ASAP--& they want a normal football season. Most Americans are not thinking about this in political terms or who, politically, might benefit.

The propagandists who dare to call themselves "journalists" have to politicize everything, no matter how often they end up looking like fools.

key difference is those sports can be held easily due to it being a non-contact sport. Golfers and Tennis players will be fully social distanced. And it's going to be without the fans.

Contact sports on the other hand? 1 case and it's back to being shut down and there will be a lot of physical/intimate plays that'll increase risks.

Also consider those players report back to the coaches who are like over the age of 40, some with health problems.

You have every right to your opinion, even when that opinion is flawed and prejudiced. The last thing I want to see is the 2020 football season cancelled. However, to blame the media for reporting what is being discussed already is just silly. Do you honestly think that coaches, players, and administrators are not having to contemplate this, as unthinkable as it seems? Its news, bud. I wonder - have you anticipated your retirement? Or anything set in your future? Do you have life insurance? Set aside funds for a rainy day? Would you be "negative" in your thinking if you did? The idiot we have living in our White House would like you the blame the media for all things negative. A free press is a bulwark of this nation, thank God. They did not bring about Covid-19, but, thankfully, they have reported on it so we could be aware and make decisions accordingly. As much as I would hate not seeing Baylor play football come Fall, the health and future of our country must come first. If you want to pray about it ... try praying the science and medical community finds answers that eliminate this threat, because that kind of contemplating is necessary and is our hope.

"You have every right to your opinion, even when that opinion is flawed and prejudiced." Those words apply to you, me and everyone else.

The media have been reporting on this crisis from the beginning--but often misreporting it and doing a terrible job of presenting the facts which should be their #1 priority but has not been for decades. Their own biases & hatred of Trump often overshadows their responsibility of informing the American public. This has been true for years but has not abated under the current crisis. Their misreporting on the malaria drug that has shown some promise, on China's responsibility, on the silly criticism of accurately identifying where it originated, and countless other examples has only served their narrow, bigoted, partisan interests and has added to the problems Americans face. They are protected by the first amendment but they routinely abuse that right in ways that should not be protected. There is a very good reason that some jurists would like to see NY Times v Sullivan revisited.

I pray for those who are sick, for the health care workers on the front lines who are doing their best to help the sick, for those businesses and workers adversely impacted economically by this crisis, for our leaders (all of them, including Trump) tasked for making important decisions in this crisis, and the rest of us as we deal with the strain of quarantine. I also pray specifically for people I know, or know of (like Moon Ursin) who are more directly effected by these events.

Our hope is in God. We can place it in scientists, politicians, or others but it will be misplaced. It will be God who delivers us from this not anyone else. If others play a role it is because God is behind it. He is sovereign, He is Lord.

There is no future for this country the longer we remained locked up.

70,000 people die each year to hospital errors
49,000 people die to second hand smoke
15,000 people die by drunk driving
5,000 people die choking on food

Not to mention the 60,000 people who have already died this year alone due to the Flu. The same Flu that you can take a vaccine shot for each year.

If you believe all this hype then you aren't doing your research and asking "why" more than just once.

If you are afraid you'll get sick. Then stay inside - why should the 99.9999999999% be required to sacrifice.

Sick people die. Healthy people die. It's what happen. When your immune system is compromised, a virus of this type can inflict damage that could lead to death or maybe not.

There are known medicines in place today that can help people recover but we have political nonsense going on because they want there candidate in the WH.

This is an incredibly selfish view to take. I could get into it more, and will if you like, but I wanted to simply point out that saying the equivalent of "people are gonna die, but I'm not old or immunity compromised, so it ain't me, forget all those other people," is the antithesis of a compassionate or responsible response to a global pandemic.

Selfish view? You have your opinion and I have mine. Give me facts why we should continue to remain locked down? Or maybe you are the type of person who believes the government is Good and here to do everything for me.

The simple fact that we don't have this reaction to Flu each year or to H1N1 proves my earlier point that there is an agenda being pushed. People die. It's a fact. You and I one day will die as well.

And if you really "care" about people then where is the outrage about the 2,000 babies abort EACH DAY or the 800,000 kids who are put into sex trafficking.

Until then. Shut up. And if you really want to meet in person - happy to share my information with Brian and we can meet somewhere.

Approx 75% of all Coronavirus cases are in 9 states. Only 25% are in the other 41. Open up the economy in those regions, allow everyone 60 and under to return to work, and require masks to be worn by everyone working in and patronizing those businesses as much as possible.

Right now, that "idiot" looks like one of the smartest people on Washington. He's certainly the only real leader there. Then again, we are talking about Washington, D.C. It's what we've come to expect. In a way, it's a shame the place is named for a great man and one of our greatest leaders ever: rarely do we see those qualities exhibited there.

I think many business will re-open with new distancing and work related PPE in place, but short of widespread antibody testing or a vaccine I don't think large crowds are in the cards. Maybe some golf and tennis for TV and perhaps baseball but I just don't see football or basketball until herd immunity is in place. The hospitality industry. Ugh what a timeframe they are going to have to endure.
