I found his show when I was a freshman in 1992 and listened ever since. In 1996 a buddy and I drove from Waco to NYC to be on his television show. He sat us right in the front row and signed our books.

meh. I think that clown was amazing at what he did. Who can sit alone with a mic and no guests or caller for 3 hrs a day or what ever it is ...for years and year?. Props to him for that. Having said that, I think he has a heavy, heavy, hand in the coarseness of our politics. He was a fairly hateful individual and not particularly a role model for anything other than radio.
Was never a Rush fan.....the guy was too full of himself.

That's a typical idiotic response that I would expect from you. The man was an American patriot in every sense of the word. He loved the country and loved all repeat "ALL" of its citizens. He inspired millions daily and had no equal in terms of explaining what conservatism is in an informative and entertaining way. This is a huge loss to our country at a time when more Rush Limbaugh types are sorely needed.
