I find it difficult to believe so many people are supposed to hate Trump. 'Choose not to vote for' ves. 'disapprove of his comments' certainly, but active, visceral hate?
Not buying it.
Same for Biden, by the way. I feel more sorry for the old decrepit fool than hatred towards him.
On the one hand, I feel sorry for Biden as he sits today, pretty obviously losing cognitive function and a shell/figurehead type president, but on the other hand, he has been in congress since my parents were in high school (they are both now over 60) and was VP for 8 years and at all points was working to move this country to the point we currently sit. So while I have some empathy for his current condition, I do not actually feel sorry or bad for him - we are experiencing the future he and his political allies have striven for for the last 40+ years.
As for Trump, I think he is genuinely hated by a large portion of the population. He became (with the help of Hillary/the democratic party and the MSM) an embodiment of what many today see as "wrong" with this country. Neverminded that he was never given any of the labels until he decided to run/won the presidency, never mind that his actions never really met the narrative created, he was declared an evil fascist and therefore he was.
FWIW, I did not vote for him in 2016, and thought his presidency would be a disaster. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and voted for him in 2020.
