Wrong! It would not solve our economic problems. It would mask them at a horrendous cost in lives and devastation. It would actually make things worse. And our insane debt would make it almost impossible to finance.

WWII did NOT rebuild the economy. It was the postwar recovery & the removal of government wage & price controls that finally ended the depression. The free market was finally allowed to function. All the wartime production did was created a war machine that enabled us to win two simultaneous wars on opposite sides of the planet. It was paid for with massive taxes, collusion with industry in the name of patriotism, & massive debt.
