Almost no one has looked at how the Amish handled the COVID outbreak. Given the Amish mistrust of government, public education and the health system, it's no shock that the Amish ignored shutdowns, mask mandates and other government actions.
Turns out the Amish did no worse than cities/states with oppressive shut-downs and controls, at least according to Sharyl Attkinson. Attkinson has worked for CNN and CBS and received both Emmy and Edward R Murrow awards.
Interviews included some telling quotes from Mennonite leader Calvin Lapp.
