Recruit Reactions to Baylor's win over Texas
I haven't gotten many responses to the message I sent out earlier but we will hopefully have a few additions later this week.2020 WR Seth Jones (Pearland, TX/Shadow Creek) - "Great team win!"2020 DE Alfred Collins (Bastrop, TX/Cedar Creek) - "Good!" On the defense: "Looked great." He is excited for his OV and is looking to build his relationship with the players and coaches which he hasn't had a great opportunity to do yet. This is mainly because the team has games when he is there.2020 WR Will Nixon (Waco, TX/Midway) - "It was a great win!"2021 DE E'maurion Banks (Wichita Falls, TX/Rider) - "I felt like it was a good win and they deserved it."2021 WR Bryson Green (Allen, TX/Allen) - "It was great loved the beat down Baylor gave!"2021 WR Blaine Green (Allen, TX/Allen) - "Was great enjoyed watching them beat up on Texas."2021 LB Sam Scott (Omaha, NE/North) - I talked to him on the phone so more so an update on him. He came to Baylor for the second time in a year. He got taken on a tour of the campus for a little while which is obviously huge for him since he may not have a lot of chances to get back. He loved everything about the trip and it was his "favorite" visit he has been on. So far he has gone to Nebraska, Iowa, Northern Illinois, South Dakota State, and Northern Iowa games.2022 QB Cade Klubnik (Austin, TX/Westlake) - "Really fun! Loved it." He liked the way the team and offense looked.

Official visitor for Oklahoma game (transfer)
This was going to be in The FRO tomorrow morning, but news leaked out this morning via Chris Hummer on 247 that UCLA WR transfer Theo Howard will be in Waco for the Oklahoma game as an official visitor. I didn't want to keep it off a main thread until tomorrow, but you'll see it mentioned again in the morning. If you missed it, I reported in The FRO back on Oct. 11 that Baylor was definitely looking at options at WR for transfers. The key here was good size and good speed, but that's nothing surprising. Howard, originally from Thousand Oaks, CA, is 6-0, 181 and a former four-star recruit and the No. 102-ranked prospect in the country. He was the #3 receiver for the Bruins in 2017 with 56 rec for 594 yards and four touchdowns and the #2 receiver for the Bruins in 2018 with 51 receptions for 677 yards and 4 touchdowns. He's caught 119 passes for 1,359 yards and 9 career touchdowns. In high school Howard ran a 4.38 40-yard dash with a 4.28 shuttle on his way to a 107 SPARQ score. He also had a 35.4-inch vertical.Howard would be eligible immediately with one year of eligibility after playing at UCLA in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

The Bears are only two months away from the first signing day of the year. It is time to reset the recruiting board, talk about some of the new names rising up the board, the commits locked in and the positions that the Bears are prioritizing.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
