One prediction in and the latest
After some feedback this morning, I have put my prediction in for California OL Paul Matavao-Poialii to land at Baylor. He has picked up offers from Colorado, Oregon State, Kansas and Missouri since receiving interest from and visiting Baylor, and he will take an official visit to Kansas this weekend, but this is one is looking very good for Baylor right now. Additionally, I am backtracking on the following statement from yesterday: Quote:The way things are trending, I do not see Elijah Ellis signing either. As of this moment, Ellis WILL sign with Baylor and there is a lot of excitement about him. I have personally classified Will Williams as the steal of the class, but Ellis has at least equal upside of any of the prospects signed on the OL, including Connor Galvin, and probably more. This is a developmental project but one worth taking. Garmon Randolph will visit LSU this weekend and UCLA is really pushing for a commitment right now. The Pac 12 option looks extremely unlikely, however, as Garmon has not made a trip to the West Coast. LSU is actively pursuing Garmon, but they are also recruiting a number of prospects for a limited number of spots. LSU will take him, but there's a chance that spots could be full before he does it so expect there to be some pressure applied by LSU this weekend. With that note, also know that Steven Linton's official visit to Baylor this weekend has been canceled. Right now it looks as though Garmon will close the class one way or the other. No other prospects are visiting this weekend. As of this moment, I expect the following prospects to sign next Wednesday:OL, Elijah Ellis (Paris)OL, Paul Matavao-Poialii (Dal City, CA/Jefferson)WR, Yusuf Terry (Philadelphia,PA/Imhotep)K, Noah Rauschenberg (Tulsa, OK/Union)

Monday notes
- Matt Rhule will be in-home with Cali OL Paul Matavao-Poialii on Thursday according to PMP. He took an official visit to Oregon State over the weekend and plans to take another official visit this weekend. At this time he isn't sure where that visit will be. - Georgia DE Garmon Randolph confirmed that Matt Rhule will be in-home with him this week before his official visit to LSU this weekend. He hasn't confirmed which day it will be just yet. LSU is recruiting Randolph as a TE. He has no preference on which position he plays. He is a priority for Baylor.- Florida S Cecil Powell is still committed to Baylor but has remained pretty quiet. He knows he is a priority for Baylor and that keeps Baylor in good position to get his signature, but will still need to fend off NC State, Oregon, Indiana and Louisville to get him signed. I expect Rhule to be in-home with Cecil this week as well. He will visit Oregon this weekend. - Georgia DE Steven Linton is expected in Waco this weekend but there isn't a lot of optimism for him to end up a Bear. Randolph is the clear priority but the staff would absolutely take a commitment from Linton. Would they take both? That's possible, but it would come down to room.- As mentioned by Grayson, Oklahoma K Noah Rauschenberg should end up a Bear, but it's not over until it's over. I'll have more on him later. Unsurprisingly, Connor Martin isn't expected to be ready for the start of the season and I'm not sure what the future holds for him.

Tuesday recruiting notes
- Baylor still sits in a strong position to sign Florida safety Cecil Powell despite his recruitment taking off from a variety of different spots. He's picked up offers from Louisville, NC State and Kansas recently but he still remains committed to Baylor. This is a situation where the official visit would have been nice to have for January but the staff wanted him to sign in December if possible. They knew he would get a lot of attention this final month. - Things are looking pretty good right now with Georgia DE Garmon Randolph. He took his official visit to Baylor last weekend and he personally loved everything about the trip. He came to Waco along with his parents and I have been told that they were thoroughly impressed by the visit as well. I've had multiple contacts tell me things a looking solid here, but he has official visits to Ole Miss and LSU before signing day. The good news is that both of those programs have been pursuing him for awhile already and if they were going to make a big impression they probably already had their shot. - The biggest nugget in this update is that Georgia DE Steven Linton will take an official visit to Baylor the final weekend before signing day. He will also take a visit to Missouri this weekend. He's already taken his other three visits to Arizona State (June 9), South Florida (Dec. 7) and Syracuse (Dec. 14). The timing here works out perfectly. Baylor will have the last say and has been on him for the last few weeks. - As far as grad transfers, Baylor is still looking for options on the OL, DL and LB. Despite what I reported last week from both Virginia OG RJ Proctor and Rice DT Zach Abercrumbia, both are still options. There are definitely additional prospects out there that are being eyed, but this has been kept so well out of the public that I couldn't say for sure who is a priority or not.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
