Sunday evening recruiting notes
-- There were many "commitment" style tweets that came through by the coaching staff earlier today. There were indeed multiple and I believe that two commitments are official but nothing has been made public by the prospects. Until that time, we won't release the name of the prospects out of respect to them. I will refer you to the predictions page to give you a pretty good idea. (As I'm typing this update, Blake Shapen tweeted out his commitment. This was one of the names we were told earlier today.)-- The overview of the weekend is that it went exceptionally well. There were six unsigned prospects on campus and at this point I would consider Baylor to be the favorite for all six of those prospects (including a committed Shapen). -- DB Mike Harris tweeted earlier tonight that he has shut down his recruitment. -- Coming into the weekend, I was told that junior college DB Alfahiym Walcott was leaning towards Auburn after a mid-week visit to the SEC program. He has family ties to the conference that were playing a role. After the trip to Baylor, I'm expecting him to commit to Baylor. No timeline for his decision right now. -- The big fish on campus this weekend was Princely Umanmielen. Prior to the four-star getting on campus, I was told that getting him on campus for a final time might be the key. During the visit I was told that Baylor felt "really good" about their chances to land him. Last night, Princely announced on Twitter that he would make his final decision on Wednesday live on one of the ESPN broadcasts. I'm still leaning towards Baylor as of tonight, but it's not a done dal. -- There is still some confusion around Georgia DL Jaden Hardy. I absolutely believe he would commit to Baylor, but the decision might not be in his court to do so at this moment. We will see what happens in the next 24 hours or so.-- Nothing new to report on commit Chateau Reed, but the safety did measure at 6-2, 175 over the weekend.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
