True freshman DL note
Signee Jaren Woods is not on the roster released online today by the Baylor Football communications staff. Remember that he had a pretty severe leg injury last fall during his high school season. I know that he enrolled and there is a chance he returns to the team, but as of now it doesn't look like he's going to be on the roster for the fall.

House Cleaning Notes
- I have non-official confirmation that true freshman defensive lineman Jaren Woods is no longer with the team after enrolling earlier this week. Woods suffered a brutal, season-ending leg injury to start his senior year and I believe that played a big part in this decision. He is not on medical right now but is still very much dealing with the injury. Again it is not confirmed that he is gone but there are some major injury recovery issues going on for him since his arrival. The takeaway is he is not with the team but still currently on the roster. Take that how you will.We are working on gathering more specifics and will update.- I mentioned that both Javon Gipson and Bryce Simpson were off the team for the spring due to personal reasons. Well I have been told that both are back on campus and participating with team activities. This is great to hear as both dealt with struggles in the spring but will have summer and fall camp to get back to full speed. Both guys have upside so I am happy to see them back in the fold.

Baylor's 2023 Recruiting Class Signing Day Superlatives
Now that the 2023 class has officially signed during the early signing period let’s handout some superlatives for the prospects in the class. As a disclaimer, multiple guys could have been the choice for some of these but I chose the best option in my opinion while not duplicating.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
