Friday Afternoon Update on Official Visitors
We have confirmed that Baylor will be bringing in another quarterback this weekend as Michigan QB Alan Bowman is taking his official visit to Baylor today. Currently I feel good about Baylor chances here to land the sixth year grad transfer. This is not an either/or type situation for Baylor between he and Sawyer Robertson, Baylor would like to land both.A few other not surprising additions to the list are East Carolina linebacker/safety Jireh Wilson who looks like the prototypical STAR for Baylor's defense at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds. Baylor offered at the end of December. The other name to add is BYU transfer OL Clark Barrington who is taking the official visit that he never got to take when he originally made his decision to become a Bear. His brother Campbell took his before the dead period. An off the radar addition to the list is former four-star cornerback prospect Isaiah Dunson. The former Miami Hurricane has two seasons of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot-1, 186-pound prospect appeared in 20 games and totaled 14 tackles and one pass defended. Maryland LB Ahmad McCullough will not be visiting Baylor this weekend. This was Baylor's decision to not bring him in for the official visit. I expect him to announce his college decision tomorrow and obviously it will not be Baylor.Official Visitors (January 6th-8th)BYU CB Gabe JeudyNorth Texas TE Jake RobertsMississippi State QB Sawyer RobertsonMichigan QB Alan BowmanMiami CB Isaiah DunsonBYU OL Clark BarringtonEast Carolina DB/LB Jireh Wilson

Running Recruiting Updates through Signing Day (Part 2)
This is an important week for the Baylor football program as January 4th-8th is the window for prospective transfers to visit if they are trying to enroll mid-year. Big opportunity for the staff to land a few more prospects for the spring semester.I will post updates in this thread throughout the next week.Official Visitors (January 4th-8th)Maryland LB Ahmad McCullough BYU CB Gabe Jeudy North Texas TE Jake Roberts Mississippi State QB Sawyer Robertson 1/2 8:13pmKeep in mind that Hillsdale College wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa was supposed to visit this week but I have not gotten that confirmed since his recent run of new offers. Once I know for sure then I will update but again, at this time, he is supposed to be on campus one of these four days.1/2 2:43pmNorth Texas tight end Jake Roberts will visit Baylor this weekend. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound prospect totaled 394 yards and three touchdowns this past season. He has offers from Arkansas, Cal, Nebraska, Tennessee, USF, Rutgers, Oregon State, Indiana, and SMU. He has two years of eligibility remaining.1/3 3:50pmKeep an eye on Bowling Green safety/nickle Jordan Anderson who entered the portal this weekend. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound prospect has 180 tackles, five interceptions, and 20 pass breakups over the past four seasons. He looks like a STAR prospect to me based on his senior film.West Virginia, Arkansas, and Kansas have offered. He has one season of eligibility remaining.1/3 5:21pmAnother name to watch...Oklahoma State WR John Paul Richardson just entered the transfer portal after posting 49 catches for 503 yards and four touchdowns this past season. Richardson has Baylor interest but not sure if it is mutual quite yet.1/4 10:51amI am expecting Baylor to land a public commitment either today or tomorrow at a position of need. There are going to be lots of visitors over the next few days who Baylor could land but this specific one has already happened. Once it is public I will let everyone know who I am referring to. This is an impactful one but not a QB.1/4 1:09pmMississippi State QB Sawyer Robertson entered the portal today. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect will have three years of eligibility remaining. As a three-year starter at Lubbock Coronado High School he threw for 12,256 yards and 146 touchdowns with just 23 interceptions while completing 64% of his passes. He also ran for 475 yards and 12 scores.Robertson was a four-star prospect and top 150 player in the nation for the 2021 class. He held offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Louisville, Florida State, TCU, Texas, USC, and Wisconsin among others but chose to commit to play both football and baseball at Mississippi State.I expect Baylor to have interest in him and believe he will be on campus this weekend. Things could move quickly here.1/4 9:32pmI am not expecting Isaac TeSlaa to visit this weekend even though that was the plan before the dead period. He will be at Arkansas the next couple days and then may take one more visit but I don't believe it will be to Baylor. I will add more if I hear it but the good news is there are a bunch of new wide receiver options who have entered the portal in the past few days.1/5 11:07amI believe there is a head to head battle going on between TCU and Baylor for Mississippi State transfer QB Sawyer Robertson. I am hearing that he is at TCU today and then will be visiting Baylor during this visit window. It will certainly be one to keep an eye on as both teams have a path to playing time through competition. This will be telling as we get our first view of a head to head battle on the trail after TCU's postseason run.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
