Notes on New On3 Rankings
The new On3 recruiting rankings were updated recently and here are some of my key takeaways in regards to Baylor commits and some of the targets…Whelp here is my weekly argument for Quinn Murphy being severely underrated. He dropped to the No. 67 quarterback in the class and the No. 140 recruit in the state. There are 10-15 prospects ahead of him whose best offers are USF, Appalachian State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Ohio, Western Kentucky, Boise State, Miami (OH), and Northwestern. Just stop. It is beyond ridiculous. He has the size, arm talent, and production but it is clear he is being held back due to the competition he plays against. Which is funny because he absolutely lit up multiple teams who made deep runs in the public school playoffs. This is a joke for a guy who has 25+ offers from Power Four schools all over the country.Ryelan Morris dropped from No. 9 to No. 12 in the overall athlete rankings but maintains four-star status. So yes he drops after having a dominant junior season and crushing everyone at Under Armor camp. KJ Edwards sticks as the No. 3 RB in the nation and No. 35 prospect. What a class this could be if it finishes with these two.Chase Campbell and Davian Groce are ranked No. 6 and No. 7 respectively in the 2026 wide receiver rankings. Both are top 73 prospects in the nation and top 10 recruits in the state of Texas. London Smith dropped 30 spots to No. 74 in the wide receiver rankings as an 88-overall three-star prospect. Jordan Clay dropped from No. 13 to No. 35 in the rankings but maintains four-star status. The timing is interesting here as I have a prediction in for Baylor and now he drops. His highlights from 7-on-7 over the last few weeks has been great to watch as he continues to show how deadly he is in contested catch situations. Kohen Brown checks in as an 88-overall prospect and the No. 83 wide receiver in the class.JJ Mays has moved up from No. 77 to No. 39 in the overall offensive line rankings to a high three-star. Jamarion Carlton is still at No. 7 in the EDGE rankings and the No. 47 prospect in the nation. Recent offer and key target Landon Barnes moves all the way up to No. 16 in the EDGE rankings. Another recent offer Cullen Thompson makes an appearance at No. 38. Tyrone Morgan is at No. 96, Hudson Woods is at No. 65, Julian Hugo No. 54, Amontre Harris No. 53, and Tucker Ashford No. 39.At linebacker Shadarius Toodle moves down from No. 7 to No. 11 in the linebacker rankings. Kosi Okpala moves up to No. 13, DaQuives Beck moves down to No. 15, Izayah Young moves up to No. 37, Jamarion Phillips sticks at No. 59, and Joseph Credit moves up to No. 66.Jamarion Vincent moves up three spots to the No. 17 cornerback in the nation and is now a top 150 prospect. Victor Lincoln moves up 22 spots to No. 38 in the nation. At safety Jordan Deck moves up nine spots to No. 14 in the nation and is now a top 20 recruit in the state. Donovan Webb moves down six spots to No. 34 and is still a three-star prospect. Jordan Davis checks in at No. 57.Henry Harris lost his four-star status as he falls to No. 20 int eh athlete rankings. Paris Melvin Jr dropped nine spots to No. 28.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
