Kalon Barnes, Jamie Nance, more
- I know there has been a lot of speculation around Kalon Barnes and if he will qualify academically. When Baylor took his LOI in December, my impression was that he raised his GPA from the fall semester to the point that achieving a test score that would get him into school would be within range. Based on everything I have heard recently, things are expected to be close, but Barnes is expected to qualify and enroll at Baylor. If you missed it, I posted not long ago that Barnes told me he will be going to school and not turning to run track professionally. - There is optimism surrounding the recruitment of Oklahoma ATH Jamie Nance (6-0, 165) is growing in favor of Baylor. Obviously if Oklahoma or OSU come calling, the could change. Being recruited as an ATH by the Bears, Nance is also courted by Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame and TCU. - I made that post recently about some good news coming soon and I stand by that. A little longer timeline than I expected, but Baylor could have 3-4 commitments pop at any point.
