BREAKING: Baylor lands commitment from OL Casey Phillips

Baylor has landed a commitment from 2018 Franklin (TX) High School offensive lineman Casey Phillips (6-5, 280). Phillips took his first visit to Baylor for their first junior day in February and followed that visit up with another trip to Waco two days later.

Saturday, Phillips took his third unofficial visit to see Baylor's first spring practice and decided there was no reason to wait any longer to make his decision final.

"I think I've known all along," Phillips said. "This was just closure."

The commitment from Phillips to Matt Rhule and the Baylor coaching staff gives Baylor four in the 2018 cycle. Phillips joins athlete Joshua Fleeks and fellow offensive linemen Jackson Kimble and Ylijaah Hall.

Phillips chose Baylor over Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, TCU, Minnesota and others.
