Developing: Baylor to receive ruling from Division I Committee on Infractions

Six years, three head football coaches, a new president and new athletic director later, Baylor will finally find out the ruling from the Division I Committee on Infractions regarding an investigation opened in 2015 following the firing of then head coach Art Briles. 

According to multiple reports, the NCAA is expected to release its findings around 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday morning. The findings will be posted immediately after on Baylor’s official university website. 

Baylor President Linda Livingstone and Vice Presdient and Director of Athletics Mack Rhoades will hold a joint virtual press conference at 1:30 p.m. CT.

9:21 a.m. CT Update: The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions will make its findings public at 11 a.m. CT on its official website.

Baylor is expected to release additional information on the findings at 11:30 a.m. CT on its official University website.

The NCAA will make available Joel Maturi, former athletics director at Minnesota and chief hearing officer for the panel, to the media at 12 p.m. CT. 

Baylor President Linda Livingstone and Vice President and Director of Athletics Mack Rhoades will hold a joint virtual press conference at 1:30 p.m. CT.

The instant TU and OU opted tor the DE Conference, anything the NCAA has to say loses clout, In a couple years they will be nothing.

Not really. RG3 has no official capacity with Baylor currently other than being a former player. Livingstone is the president of Baylor and is tied to all workings of the academic and athletic departments that the NCAA will be ruling on which is a huge impact on her unlike it would be for RG3.
