Defensively, we looked at times like we thought going into this game… that we have the potential to be a really good defense.  Texas State only had 3.9 yards per pass attempt which is outstanding.  And then 2.9 yards per rushing attempt.  3rd Down conversion percentage was 36% for Texas State.  Texas State is a flawed team defensively, but their offense was above average last season and their QB (McBride) did a good job eluding pressure and keeping drives alive.
