Positives:
- Complete domination in the second half. The Bears outscored the Cardinal 52-20 in the second half to cruise to a 38 point victory. The Bears collected 16 steals which led to 28 transition points.
- James Akinjo controlled the game from start to finish with his defense and offense. He had 11 assists to only 2 turnovers.
- LJ Cryer continues to provide scoring with a team high 21 points.
- Kendall Brown and Jeremy Sochan both gave efficient minutes on both ends of the court. 15 points for Kendall including 3 steals. Sochan with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
- Matt Mayer had a tough day shooting but didn’t let it affect his defense. He gave great effort on that end all game.
- Dale Bonner is going to be a very valuable role player. He can hit open shots, handle the ball and his defense is sensational.
- Flo and Jon gave their normal production, Jon is a nightmare to keep off the glass.
Needs Work:
- Free throw shooting 10-17. That’s an area that needs to get better.
- Outrebounded 32-31, may be the only time Baylor gets outrebounded this season. But first half, not as aggressive on the glass.
- Adam Flagler getting healthy. We are counting on him and need his hand to heal.
