Four Baylor Soccer Players Selected for All-Region Teams
WACO, Texas – Jennifer Wandt and Taylor Moon were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region second team on Tuesday. Kayley Ables and Mackenzie Anthony were both named to the All-Midwest Region third team.
Ables and Moon add to their postseason accolades that already include second team All-Big 12 nods. Both Seniors could still return next year thanks to the extra “COVID year” of eligibility.
Returning Ables to the defense would help sure up the back end with veteran leadership and a
wealth of skill.
Moon, once fully recovered from the injury she suffered in Baylor’s last game of the season would also boost the Bears’ attack.
Wandt will be moving on to what is next, but she will leave Baylor Soccer as its winningest goalkeeper, and record holder for most shutouts and most Big 12 weekly awards.
Anthony will be back leading the attack next year for whoeverCaption takes over as head coach. She netted eight goals this year after scoring two as a freshman in the shortened covid season.
