Positives

  • great poise... got punched in the mouth early.  The Bears trailed the Ducks by 10 in the first half but thanks to 7-8 three point shooting from Adam Flagler and Jeremy Sochan, the Bears closed the gap to 4 by halftime.
  • Closing time.  51-51 at the 10 minute mark.   The Bears went on a 12-0 run led by 9 points from Kendall Brown and a timely three from James Akinjo.
  • Three point shooting on the road was very good (12-23).
  • Only 11 turnovers on the road was solid.
  • The shot selection was good for the Bears.
  • Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua continues to eat glass with the best of them but his offensive efficiency was really good as well.
  • James Akinjo was terrific on both ends in the second half.

Needs Work

  • Free throw shooting (8-18) was not encouraging.  Need to get better in that area.
  • Energy in the first half was lacking.  Allowed the Ducks to score 39.
  • Lost the rebounding battle (30-28).  And gave up 1.13 points per possession.
  • LJ Cryer and Matt Mayer 2-8 from three point range but they did have 6 assists to only 1 turnover combined.
