What a way to top off the weekend! Welcome Jackson! Now can we get the Mississippi State ads off our site? Haha!
Baylor has landed a commitment from 2018 wide receiver Jackson Gleeson (Mansfield). The pledge from Gleeson gives Baylor eight commitments in the class and their third of the day on Sunday.
For Gleeson, the decision was easy after checking out the Green & Gold Game last Saturday.
"Baylor just feels at home," he told SicEm365. "The coaches are really genuine and not just here to coach us in football. They want to help you become men."
Recruited by the Baylor coaching duo of wide receivers coach Bob Bicknell and tight ends coach Joey McGuire, Gleeson also held offers from Nebraska, Missouri and Iowa State, among others. He claims 13 offers total.
Gleeson added that he's excited about being coached by Matt Rhule.
"I love the way [Rhule] coaches. There's something about his coaching style," Gleeson said. "It'll be a joy to play for him."
As a junior, Gleeson caught 18 passes for 487 yards and six touchdowns in a run-heavy offense.
Also a star on the track, Gleeson's 21.18-second time in the 200-meter dash ranks No. 19 in the country in 2017.
