UT needs to quit playing us in last games in stadiums/arenas.

Gosh it is fun to close out stadiums/arenas with wins over Texas!

We beat UT for our first Big 12 football championship in the last game in Floyd Casey.

We beat UT in the last game to be played in the Erwin Center with still the chance to be Big 12 champs.

Pretty cool if you ask me.

GREAT WIN!!!!

Sold out hostile crowd, last game in the Erwin Center, home court job for UT and we STILL WIN!! So proud of our guys.

UT is going to be happy to get to the SEC so they no longer have to keep getting their butts kicked by us!!

Was that Fran in the broadcast saying he saw us as a Sweet 16 only team?

Yeah talk about not giving any credit. This team can hang with anyone. Bu is absolutely one of half a dozen teams thay can make final 4

After the way we have played these last 2 games without Cryer I don't think the Sweet 16 is our ceiling anymore.

That's what I was feeling when JTT went out…but this team is still finding a way to gut out wins.

I don't see anyone in the Top 10 where I think we wouldn't stand a chance against them.

Best case would be for him to play in KC (assuming he's ready) if for nothing other then to shake off some rust. But yeah my guess is he's done.
Assuming we get a 1 or 2 seed that first NCAA game should be chance to knock off some rust too
1 seed now if they just finish it off with a home win and don't completely tank in the big 12 tourney. If he can make it back in a little under 3 weeks to start the tourney would be huge.

With Flagler coming on strong one more excellent shooter and secondary ball handler would change the game for this team. Semi healthy Cryer makes this team a legit threat to go back to the final four and possibly repeat.

Sounds like Fran had a little insider info. A fracture in a different place than the screws

Doesn't expect him back.

Pinching my nose for the rest of the week and saying go Frogs and go Horns.

We needed end of season help in football to get into the B12 Title game and got it. Let's have a repeat here with some late season help to bag B12 co-champs.

Yeah that didn't make any sense. With a 1 seed Sweet 16 isn't any decent teams ceiling. Fran was off there. Even without great play with a decent draw the team could make the elite eight.

This team is a legit final four threat and with Cryer its a threat to repeat. Don't think so without him as the fatigue or offensive droughts would catch up to them in one game and thats all it takes. Incredible run this year all things considered. KU loses just one of the next 3 and we repeat as champs assuming win out at home.

CSD just said Baylor got the win in the final game at Gregory Gym in 1977. Also got the final win over UT to close out the HOT Coliseum 3/5/88.

So that's 4 venues closed out with a BU win over UT.

Yep, didn't sound good. Then they brought in the sideline reporter who said it was painful to walk but was healing okay. Doesn't sound anything like pain threshold anymore. A new fracture that needs to heal.

But its been what a few weeks since the last action and then has 3 more weeks until the tourney. Puts him on the border at 5 weeks assuming the Tech game was a new break. Get through the first weekend and then your at 6 weeks since the last action which sounds doable based on complete spitballing here. Need him to repeat and not have the team gas out in tournament style play.

Half a dozen? The field is wide open. Way more than half a dozen are good enough to make the FF.

I would say rest him till the NCAAs. If he could give us 10 minutes per game of instant offense coming off the bench it would be huge.

This 1000%

Is there anyone in the top 25 that we couldn't beat in the tournament? I think given enough time & rest, we could even beat Kansas again & even Tech.

Maybe we will get a miracle & Kansas will lose to TCU twice. OK, that's ridiculous & not happening.

I didn't post in the gamethread in the 2nd half because I was determined to just sit, watch and enjoy because I was confident Drew and staff would once again make the adjustments necessary to win, whether strategically or motivationally. My last post was at halftime when I said we were only down 3 on the road after not playing well offensively for the first 15 minutes, so we can win this. This staff and team are just so friggin' good.

I agree completely.

But I don't take it personally if someone disagrees. Particularly someone like Fran, who has paid remarkably close attention to our program.
