His commitment comes off of a two week stretch where he was able to visit Baylor on March 24th and UCLA on April 5th. He was able to make his decision following those two visits.
“I loved everything about Baylor,” he said. “Coach Dave Aranda really talked about more personality and behavior over football. He’s a huge gospel believer and me and him clicked big time. We both share the same beliefs, and a lot of his outlook on things were close to how I was raised.”
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound prospect finished with 43 receptions for 562 yards and 10 touchdowns during his breakout junior season.
He has a unique skill set as a receiver and his ability to high point the football is very impressive. He would be an absolute weapon in the receiving game and clearly has a mean streak as a blocker as well.
Here is a breakdown on his game.
“The staff told me that I’m a complete tight end and that I can do it all,” he said. “That’s what they like most about my game.”
Klopfenstein is up to 24 offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Washington, and Wisconsin among others.
