If the Bears are actually going to go to a regional, they must win this weekend series against Texas.
It will take a .500 conference record or really close to it, for the Bears to get an at-large consideration, and the Bears are 4 under at this point. They simply cannot afford to fall further behind now.
Also, a series win in Austin would do a lot to counter the bad taste the first 3 series left. The Bears need to look like a team that belongs in the regionals, and that means they have to win against good conference competition.
If we lose 2 or 3 against Texas, the post-season chances are just plain dead.
