When Dave Aranda took the job at Baylor, the question of who he might hire as defensive coordinator was intriguing. Within days he had made his choice. Ron Roberts came over after a few seasons at Louisiana under Billy Napier. More importantly, he was Aranda’s mentor back in the day at Delta State, a Division II school in Mississippi. Ron was the head coach there, and Aranda was his DC for one year in 2007.
