Soccer Alum Jennifer Wandt Signs With Trelleborgs FF
WACO, Texas – Former Baylor soccer goalkeeper Jennifer Wandt has signed to play for Trelleborgs FF in Trelleborg, Sweden. Wandt is working on her master’s degree after finishing up her fifth year playing for the Bears.
Trelleborgs FF is a Swedish football club located in south Sweden and the teams play in the Division I league.
Wandt played in 65 games in goal over her career at Baylor. As a fifth-year senior, she took over the top spot in Baylor record books this year in career shutouts with 39 and total wins with 52. Her 39 career shutouts also place her in the second spot in the Big 12 record book.
Wandt becomes the fourth Baylor soccer player currently playing professionally. Danielle Hayden plays with El Rayo Vallecano Feminino in Madrid; Aline Milene De Lima plays with Ferroviária in Brazil; while Bri Campos plays with Umeå IK in Sweden.
The former All-Big 12 goalkeeper had been around the program since the end of last season helping with practices and camps, presumably with the goal of turning professional in mind.
