Ben Hamilton is a sophomore linebacker from Frisco, Texas. He committed to Baylor as a preferred walk-on and should have two years of eligibility remaining past this season. BU’s website has him listed at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds. While at Baylor, Hamilton is studying business and has made the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll three times.
Along with being a team captain at Frisco Legacy Christian Academy, Hamilton earned First Team All-District and Second Team All-State as a senior in 2019. In 2019, he tallied 121 tackles, 6.5 sacks, nine TFLs, two forced fumbles, and one interception. Hamilton also earned Second Team All-District honors as both a junior and as a sophomore. In 2018, he collected 75 tackles and scored four touchdowns; in 2017, he was responsible for 48 tackles. He also competed in track and field in high school. After arriving in Waco, he redshirted the 2020 season and did not record a stat in 2021.
