24 Days till Kickoff: Baylor’s #24 Cameron Bonner
As always, keep track of both the stats and roster countdowns in the Offseason Hub!
Cameron Bonner is a redshirt freshman receiver from Houston, Texas. He should have three years of eligibility remaining past this season, and Baylor’s website has him listed at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds. While at BU, he is majoring in business.
Our own Grayson Gruendhoefer says Bonner looks “different athletically” so far in Fall Camp. He goes on to add that he has a high ceiling and looks forward to watching the Houston native’s development over the next couple of months.
At St. Thomas High School, Bonner helped lead his team to a 7-3 record as a senior in 2020, in which he earned First Team All-District and totaled 35 receptions for 754 yards and eight touchdowns. He racked up twelve touchdowns as a junior and finished his high school career with more than 2,000 receiving yards. Bonner was a three-star recruit and the No. 76 player in Texas, according to 247. Dave Campbell had Bonner as the No. 7 athlete in the state and a member of the DCTF Hot 100. He committed to Baylor over Arizona and Illinois in the class of 2021 and redshirted the past year.
