The Baylor Bears (1-0) hit the road for the first time of the 2022 season with a non-conference game at BYU (1-0) at LaVell  Edwards Stadium on Saturday evening. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:15 p.m. CT.

Last year, Jaren Hall ran for a huge touchdown when Jalen Pitre tried to make a play on the running back instead of staying with the QB. In big games like this, it often comes down to a few big plays. You want to make the opposing offense earn their yardage, you can’t gift wrap it. It will be imperative that when the lights are shining their brightest and the moment is biggest, Baylor defenders stay within themselves and don’t try to do too much. The reason the Bears have become so good defensively is because they all do their “1/11th”. They play as one. They’ll need to continue to do so against a great BYU offense on Saturday.
