Defending Iowa State — How to Limit Xavier Hutchinson

Iowa State’s offense looks a lot different this year. Gone are Brock Purdy, Charlie Kolar, Breece Hall, and several other veterans, savvy tight ends. While that offense was usually playing with multiple tight ends on the field, this new one is playing more 11 personnel (1 RB, 1 TE, 3 WRs) and allowing new QB Hunter Dekkers to operate as a spread passer.

This off-season I made the prediction that Dekkers would be better than Brock Purdy.
